You are bidding on a 1973 VW Super Beetle Convertible, garage kept and in very good condition. The engine runs strong and feels very good. From a driver’s standpoint, you're getting an outstanding condition bug with original miles.
The acceleration is very strong and manual transmission shifts perfectly. The American Racing wheels mounted with Firestone FFT70, 175 -70 R14 really set the car off. Tires are in very good condition and showing around 90% tread life.
This vehicle was completely painted a few years ago but the paint is in excellent condition. An OEM convertible top was installed soon after the paint job. Top looks to be new, no tears, rips, holes, etc. Original radio is in the dash but does not work. Planned to install a CD radio but never got around to it. All lights work as they should, all the glass is original and in perfect condition. The vehicle starts, drives, handles and looks great. Brake pedal goes about 1/2 way down but stops very good. May need brake shoes replaced to improve pedal.

Skoda racing Up! to Worthersee with Citigo Rally concept
Thu, 17 May 2012If you thought the Volkswagen Group was about to wind down the endless stream of concept cars based on the new Up! city car, think again. Because not only is the Volkswagen brand itself keeping the train a-moving, so are its sister brands.
Skoda has its own version of the Up called the Citigo. But what racing fans know the Czech subsidiary for best is its rally program that has become a dominant force in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the basis for VW's own foray into the World Rally Championship. Now Skoda is bringing the two together with an exciting concept car previewed by the rendering above and confirmed in the press release below.
Following in the footsteps of the tantalizing Fabia roadster unveiled last year, the Citigo Rally concept is to be the centerpiece of the Skoda display at the Volkswagen Group's annual hot-hatch gathering at Lake Wörthersee in Austria. Details are scarce, but the show car will feature rally-inspired bodywork complete with 18-inch white alloys packed into aggressively flared wheel arches, a substantial rear wing and vents aplenty.

Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
