She is a really nice 1968 I drove her from her long time home in Southern Ga. were she spent all of her life . This has been in the same GA. family for a while. She was barely driven in the past 10 years just enough to keep things rolling. I have been working on the side on old air cooled Porsche's and VW's for 25 years .The following I have done in the past 2 months ,all fluids Oil, Gearbox, Premium Carpet ,Door rubber, Plugs, Misc. rubber seals Badges ,Clips, Door panel ,Cranks door handle covers, Ect Ect. I also spent about 40 hours just tinkering and getting things in order. The body on her is unrusted never has been. Everywhere even under her doors is solid. The only semi pro repair was the back seat and battery tray floor board. Heater channels are solid. She is Lotus White I believe almost looks Ivory but I built an Ivory Conv. ground up and she is a little more Yellow. She starts right up and runs good. She brakes and drives straight. Her interior is in Very Very good Condition. She has plenty of tread but the tires are older but usable. I also put new Front Rear shocks on her. She needs a half dozen easy fix's that a semi pro could do. I would replace the muffler back to stock fix the horn You can spend 3 easy nights and you can say you restored her. She comes from Ga. which does not have titles for cars older than 1975 so bill of sale only. Bill of sale only. She also has a 1968 Ga. license plate Which is included She is 95% or better VW parts. 1 repaint from Germany If you want a solid Bug she will do. You know how hard it is to find solid ones these days.

Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
Volkswagen iBeetle gets integrated iPhone dock, little else
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Apple fans have been itching to see the tech giant flex the full muscle of its iOS operating system in an automotive infotainment system for years, which is why we turned all sorts of excited when we caught wind of the Volkswagen iBeetle. The machine is headed to the Shanghai Motor Show for a debut, and VW promised it would be one of the "first cars in the world to have a genuine integrative interface for the iPhone that was coordinated with Apple." Listen closely, and you can hear the contented sigh of a million wallets opening.
Go ahead and close those up, kids.
In reality, the iBeetle offers little more than a dash-mounted dock and a special app that shows a few vehicle functions, which is about as far from an infotainment revolution as you're likely to find. In fact, the setup is little more than a factory rehash of aftermarket items, and hardly worth a whole model debut at an international motor show. And that's to say nothing of the fact that Apple relishes in changing the shape and form of its darling handheld at every generation. Volkswagen better be prepared to keep pace with appropriate docking mechanisms for the upcoming iPhone 5S, 6, 6S, et al.
Volkswagen could outsell GM in China for the first time in nine years
Fri, 27 Dec 2013As of the end of November, Volkswagen had sold 70,000 more cars than General Motors in China in 2013, making it appear inevitable that VW will outsell GM there. The feat would return the German brand to the top of chart in China for the first time in nine years, but even the second-place getter won't be complaining too loudly: both automakers sold more than three million vehicles in a market pegged to hit 16 million sales this year.
Volkswagen said it could have sold more cars if it had had more production capacity in China. The arrival of a new-to-China Audi A4, a China-built A3 sedan, the VW Bora and Skoda Octavia, as well as an $18.2-billion-euro investment in the country to construct new factories, means VW should see its numbers grow in 2014. GM's lineup is expanding next year, too, adding four Chevrolet nameplates and two vehicles to its Baojun brand as it tries to get to five million in sales by 2015.
Among other automakers, Ford benefited from good product and woes for Japanese automakers over a territorial dispute with China, outselling Toyota by almost 32,000 units through the end of November. The Ford Focus is China's best-selling vehicle so far this year.
