1966 VW Bug, It's been a gradual restoration since 2008, and been garage kept. It was stripped all the way down to start the resto. It's got alot of custom touches, shaved front fenders, shaved rear clip, rebuilt 1600cc Engine w/ Dual Carbs, Dual Exhaust, Lowered and shortened front beam for the stance, new upholstery, headliner, guages, 3-Point Seat belts, High Back seats, Stereo, EMPI five-spoke wheels, electric fuel pump, rear pop-out windows, original roof rack, all new rubber seals etc... There was a bunch of new metal welded in the process, the underneath and interior were all coated with POR-15 to prevent rust. There is really too much to list, but it is no trailer queen, has been driven regularly so it has a couple of chips, scratches. I have all the restoration pics from where it was taken down to the bare metal and rebuilt back up right. I've also got about 4 boxes of parts that come with it, if you want, that includes extra starters, good pic-34 carbs, intake, chrome, switches, relays, valve covers, extra seals, gaskets, etc. It's taken about 5 years to get it to where it is, and it's a beautiful cruiser. I've had a fun time with the restoration but it's time for a new project. Any questions, please ask. I'd be willing to deliver up to 600 miles for $0.75/mi once payment is made. This is a great bug all around, gets thumbs up all the time!

Europeans get first crack at new Golf Variant wagon
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Just last week, when we brought you news of a new Volkswagen Golf variant out and testing in Europe, we had no idea we were being so literal with out description. For it seems that VW has every intention of calling its new Golf wagon, making its Geneva debut, the "Golf Variant."
Odd/interesting sobriquets taken as read then, there's a lot to like about this new small wagon from VW. The Variant will shed some 232 pounds in this generation, and will come to market with two efficient TDI engines. Volkswagen isn't giving us displacement figures for either yet, but we're told the diesels will come with outputs of 110 and 150 horsepower. The 110-hp TDI BlueMotion Varient will be good for a whopping 71.3 miles per gallon on the European cycle, when mated to the six-speed manual transmission.
The German automaker has brought along an all-wheel-drive 4Motion version of the Gold Variant to bow in Geneva, as well, and a natural gas-burning TGI BlueMotion is said to be "in the pipeline."
VW reveals Outback-rivaling Golf Alltrack ahead of Paris
Wed, 24 Sep 2014The Volkswagen Passat Alltrack is getting a baby brother at this year's 2014 Paris Motor Show in the form of a new Golf Alltrack. Like its larger sibling, the little wagon is supposed to offer light-duty off-road driving ability combined with a more rugged look to show it off.
To give the Golf Alltrack that soft-road ability, VW is outfitting the wagon with its latest 4Motion all-wheel drive system from Haldex. The setup can decouple power from the rear-axle when not needed to save fuel. To further improve traction, the Alltrack gets VW's electronic differential lock, and the car can individually brake its inside wheel during hard cornering for better handling.
Volkswagen also wants the Alltrack to be able to visually show that it can handle getting away from the pavement, even though it starts life as a standard Golf wagon. That means jacking up the suspension an extra 0.75 inches and adding black moldings all the way around the car. There are also redesigned bumpers for the front and rear and silver underbody protection, plus new accents like anodized roof rails and silver mirror caps. The interior is essentially unchanged from the wagon, except for altered trim and Alltrack badges.
