Bridgeport, Alabama, United States

I bought this truck new.  I've just driven to work and back in it, which has been a very short distance, plus a couple of road trips.  I had it serviced at the dealer at 5,000 miles, and again at 10,000 miles with synthetic oil.  Two more free services are included with the truck from Toyota, and I'm sure that benefit is transferrable.  It came with tinted windows, but I added keyless entry, a toolbox, step bars, and a storage bin that fits under the rear seat.  I also added keyless entry to the tailgate.  The tailgate is wired to the power lock system.  I did this because I had a custom cover made for the back of the truck and I wanted to secure my belongings.  The cover was sprayed with premium Line-X that is not supposed to fade.  The bed cover was made with 3/4" finish grade plywood and then fully covered with Line-X.  It slides on and off really easy and I just use two clamps to secure it to the bed rail.  You could keep the cover, or get rid of it, but if you like bed covers, it looks pretty good.

This truck has the work truck package with vinyl floors and all weather mats.  It has power locks, mirrors, windows, and cruise control.  It has the tow package and spray in bed liner.  Please do read the condition description, but it's like new, with only minor / normal scratches.

I bought this truck new in Auburn, Alabama but I now live in Bridgeport, AL, where the truck is located.  My reason for selling it is because I will soon have a long commute to work and I intend to purchase a car.  The truck is titled in Alabama.  I have a loan with Southeast Toyota Finance and my payoff is less than the selling price.  The buyer can pay Toyota Finance directly for the amount of the payoff and then pay me the difference.  Then Toyota will send the title to the buyer or the buyer's lender.

This truck is my daily driver so the mileage may be slightly more than 13K at auction end.

Good Luck!

Who sold the most small/midsize pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates that, too

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

PickupTrucks.com has taken another look at the sales of its favorite vehicle bodystyle as part of an ongoing series. According to registration data from R.L. Polk, the Toyota Tacoma easily took the crown as America's best-selling mid-sized pickup, with 133,477 units rolling into new homes in 2012. For comparison, the second-place Nissan Frontier only saw 50,566 registrations.
We feel compelled to point out that before Ford pulled the plug on its ancient Ranger, the company was moving some 75,000 units per year. That number had shriveled to 15,662 by 2012, which was still enough to surpass the Honda Ridgeline. Interestingly enough, one person brought home a brand-new Hummer H3T as well. But mid-sized trucks represent only a fraction of total pickup sales. Dealers sold a total of 241,471 midsizers last year compared to 988,326 half-tons.
That segment was dominated by General Motors with 533,814 sales followed by Ford at 478,204. Ram Trucks trailed behind in third with 241,204 units with Toyota close behind at 229,769. Nissan, meanwhile, remains a distant fifth. Head over to PickupTrucks.com for a closer look at the breakdown in each segment.

Toyota Aygo, Citro?n C1 to join Peugeot 108 in Geneva

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Just the other day, Peugeot took the wraps off the new 108. But its new city car, like the 107 it replaces, doesn't stand on its own. The 107 was a sister vehicle to not only the Citroën C1 but also the Toyota Aygo. So it should come as little surprise that, while Peugeot was the first to release photos and details on its version, Citroën and Toyota will also be on hand with their own versions when the veils lift on all three at the Geneva Motor Show.
We're expecting the new trio of budget-oriented hatchbacks to bear the fruits of individual efforts to distinguish themselves one from another more than their predecessors, which essentially looked the same save for different badges. But from the teaser image above, we'd venture that the Toyota version will be a further departure from the 108 than the C1 will be.
One way or another we'll have to wait and see, but for now you can view Toyota's teaser clip below, along with the press releases confirming the debut of both in Geneva next month.

Toyota Tundra ditches V6 for 2015

Fri, 12 Sep 2014

The Toyota Tundra debuted in new-ish form for the 2014 model year, but as we head into 2015, the truck boasts a couple of small updates. Most notably, the base V6 engine has been discontinued. On top of that, there's the new TRD Pro model on offer for 2015, which we've told you about before.
Why kill the V6? Simple - it was very low-volume. "The Tundra V6 take rate was significantly less than five percent," a Toyota spokesperson confirmed via email to Autoblog. So for 2015, the two V8 engine options remain - a 4.6-liter unit with 310 horsepower and 327 pound-feet of torque, or the more powerful 5.7-liter powerplant with 381 hp and 401 lb-ft. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard. Four-wheel drive, of course, is available with either engine.
The only other noteworthy changes for 2015 include an optional integrated trailer brake for the 5.7-liter models, a new rear under-seat tray storage system for Double Cab trucks, and a spray-in bed-liner. Scroll down for the official press blast.
