2006 Toyota Tundra Sr5 Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 4.7l on 2040-cars
Oxford, Mississippi, United States
You are looking at my 2006 Toyota Tundra crew cab SR5 2WD. This is a one-owner truck, and it is mine....I literally put all 93K miles on it myself. The car fax report will say 2 owner, but that's because the company I work for leased this for me new in January 2007 from Oxford Toyota in Oxford, MS, then I loved it so much, I bought it outright when the lease was up. Non-smoker. The interior is in excellent condition. The exterior looks great, in spite of its few blemishes (which I explain in the description above ^^^, and have included pics of). The only reason I am selling this, is because I just got back into the cattle business, and am purchasing a HD 4x4. Otherwise, I would drive it for another couple hundred thousand miles...I've never had one bit of trouble out of this truck. The tires are Toyo A/T that have about 50% tread left, or about 30,000 miles. I have plugged in all information on Kelley Blue Book and NADA and done my research, and the Buy It Now price is more than fair, so there isn't much wiggle room here. This will be an awesome truck for the next owner. I have the title in hand, and this truck is available for pick-up ONLY. IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN a 10 FEEDBACK SCORE OR HAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, I WILL DELETE YOUR BID! I will take CASH or CERTIFIED CHECK as payment ONLY. I have 100% positive feedback, so bid/buy with confidence. Good luck and Happy Bidding!

Toyota close to licensing deal with BMW for fuel cell technology
Wed, 23 Jan 2013For over a year now, we've been hearing about a potential partnership between Toyota and BMW on everything from sports cars to lithium-ion batteries, but one of the first cooperative projects between these two automakers could bring Toyota's hydrogen fuel cell technology to a BMW vehicle. Reuters is reporting that an announcement is likely to be made as soon as later this week regarding a BMW fuel cell vehicle that could be in production by 2020 with a prototype running around by 2015.
The last we heard of Toyota's fuel cell technology, it was in the FCV-R Concept that we saw at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, but there is no word how far along in development this system is. If it does come to fruition, such a vehicle for BMW would build on the automaker's commitment to hydrogen that started with the Hydrogen 7, which unlike a fuel cell vehicle, simply ran on hydrogen fuel rather than converting it to electricity for use in motors. We're definitely interested where this Toyota/BMW tie up could be headed.
Toyota GT86 convertible on 'indefinite hold'
Sat, 05 Oct 2013Bad news, sportscar fans. According to a new report from What Car?, Toyota has cancelled plans to produce a GT86 convertible, a model based on the FT-86 Open Concept that debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In truth, Toyota never actually confirmed it would produce the budget-friendly droptop in the first place, but rumors have been flying since last year and Toyota reportedly showed its embattled Scion dealers a FR-S version of the convertible in August. Presumably, this means that a lidless variant of the Subaru BRZ is not in the cards, either.
The reason for the move is unknown, though What Car? reports "one possible cause is weight; Toyota did say that further work would be required on rigidity before the convertible could be launched, and that could have added extra bulk that conflict with the regular GT86's ethos of light weight and agile handling." It doesn't look like that work will happen anytime soon, as "sources now say that the car has now been delayed indefinitely, with no place in Toyota's product plan in either 2014 or 2015." Still holding out hope? What Car? says the project could be "fast-tracked" if management decides it wants to reboot the program down the road.

Toyota mulling more Tundra, Tacoma capacity in TX
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Toyota may be expanding its pickup truck production at its San Antonio, TX factory following calls from dealers for more Tacoma and Tundra models, according to a new report from Automotive News.
The San Antonio plant is currently able to produce 250,000 trucks on two shifts with overtime, while a secondary facility in Tijuana, Mexico can build an extra 50,000 Tacomas. Despite this capacity, and the fact that Tundra is a slow seller relative to the full-size trucks from Ford, Ram and Chevrolet/GMC (not to mention the Tacoma being part of a segment with diminishing sales), Toyota franchisees apparently can't get enough of the trucks.
"Dealers are telling us they could sell more Tacomas and Tundras," said Bill Fay, the general manager of the Toyota Division. "We are evaluating our footprint and capacity." According to AN, Toyota has moved over 248,000 trucks through November.
