                                  Toyota extended cab 4x4 pickup

This is a good truck, i drove it to work for at least 5 months straight after i fixed it. My mother passed away recently and i inherited a newer vehicle and my wife said i could not keep both but i wish i could because i love this truck. The 4wheel drive works great, it being the 22re, is definatly not the fastest truck but it is very reliable, perfect for around town or togo to work in. The previous owner hit a deer with it so there is some body damage but not much, other wise it is fully functional.

items that have been fixed or replaced in truck
-radiator and hoses
-thermostat
-timing chain and sprockets
-timing cover
- oil pump
-water pump
- tps sensor
-new injector gaskets
-brand new mud tires with only 500 miles on them. (The tires are kenda m/t)
-all fluids have been changed ( transmission, transfercase, rear and front diffs, engine oil, cooling system)
-new idler arm
- new tie rod end
-new front brake pads
-new headlights both
-new license plate lights
-fuel filter
-new muffler
-cap and rotor

Things that don't work on vehicle

-the speedometer does not work (i'm pretty sure it is the instrument cluster, because i already replaced the speed sensor)
-it has a small exhaust leak at exhaust manifold
-it needs new plugs and wires

Toyota, Honda, Nissan and more collaborating to increase fuel efficiency

Sun, 25 May 2014

Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Suzuki and Daihatsu have announced an alliance that will see a push to improve fuel economy from both gas-powered and diesel-powered engines by as much as 30 percent before the end of the decade.
The newly assembled Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines put the roughly $20-million project together, with the Japanese government committing to half the cost while the eight manufacturers will chip in the rest.
According to Automotive News, the automakers will team up and share basic research on internal-combustion engines in a bid to cut costs. Eventually, the results of the research will find its way into a production vehicle, although it's unclear just when we'll see the fruits of this partnership on the road.

First 2014 Toyota Corolla commercial dances through time

Sat, 07 Sep 2013

Despite the fact that the Toyota Corolla pretty much sells itself, the eleventh-generation 2014 model is getting a huge marketing push that aims to appeal to both Millennials (of course), as well as the older generations that have lived with the stalwart Japanese compact for decades. The first television advertising spot, called, "Style Never Goes Out of Style," shows that the Corolla has had a place in mainstream culture since its launch in the 1960s. We have to admit, it's pretty cool to see older models from the '60s, '70s and '80s come out to play for this commercial, especially the latter of those, as it gives us enthusiasts fond memories of the infamous AE86.
The whole web/broadcast/print/social media marketing campaign surrounding the 2014 Corolla is called "Elevate," because, according to Toyota:
Extensive market research shows that Millennials are looking to take their career to the next level and are looking to buy their first 'real' car to get them there. The design of the all-new Corolla is significantly elevated from the previous generations, creating a more dynamic and desirable image for the Corolla nameplate that will appeal to these younger buyers.

Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon rides again with Busta Rhymes

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

Let's face it: there are few things less "gangsta" than a minivan (which goes a long way towards explaining why crossovers have been gradually taking their place as the family-hauler of choice across America, but we digress). The point here is not lost on Toyota, which has embraced the uncool image of the minivan with the Swagger Wagon campaign.
We first saw the suburban-goes-urban campaign pop up with the introduction of the new Sienna back in 2010. And now that the Sienna's been updated for 2015, the campaign is back again, featuring none other than Trevor Tahiem Smith, Jr. himself... better known to most as Busta Rhymes. The decidedly white-bread video spot that follows may make you cringe, but you've got to admit that it's well done, even if it doesn't have the charm and freshness of the original.
