This is a 1988 Toyota Pickup. The motor is freshly rebuilt, all parts from engbldr.com. Block was magnafluxed and checked out perfect, was bored .020", crank was in perfect condition and right in spec so it was just polished, put in new rist pins, pistons, piston rings, oil pump, water pump, all new gaskets, new head bolts etc... basically evreything was replaced. Put a re manufactured head on with an engnbldr 268 torkr camshaft. Also has new clutch and pilot bearing, new fuel pump.

The transmission was rebuilt on the truck 60,000 miles ago so it is in really good shape. The truck runs and drives great, tires are in decent shape. new radiator, and it has after market cruise control. Interior has had a seat cover since 1988 and the seat is perfect.
The cab is in really nice shape, with very little rust anywhere. The box has a few rusty spots on it.
I put 1,000 miles on the truck since the rebuild and it runs great and doesn't leak a drop of anything.
If you have any questions or want more pictures or pictures of specific things just let me know.
I am only selling cause I have TOO MANY VEHICLES as if that is possible, more like I don't have enough ROOM!
I will work you on shipping and do whatever I can to lessen the cost

Ever wonder how to really pronounce Japanese automaker names?

Thu, 25 Sep 2014

People tend to get very set in their ways when it comes to the pronunciation of words. Just look at the endless debates over whether or not to say the final 'e' in Porsche (which you should in terms of correct German enunciation). Or the argument about whether to follow the British convention and give the 'u' in Jaguar a special delivery or to say the 'ua' diphthong as more of a 'w' sound, as usually happens in the US.
This short video doesn't answer either of those automotive questions, but it does allow a native Japanese speaker to demonstrate the accepted pronunciations for several, major automakers from the country. One benefit is that it clears up the occasional debate over whether Nissan should be said with a long or short 'i' sound. Also, listen closely to how the female host says Mazda as Matsuda, the way it's actually said in the language. Even if this doesn't change the way you enunciate these brands, at least now you know the accurate way in Japanese.

Toyota's Euro Aygo spied in prototype form

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

The five-door version of the next-generation Toyota Aygo, a Euro offering cloned by the Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1, has been caught out on the town wearing all black. Facelifted early last year, predictions are that the next version of the city car will be slightly lower and wider than the current car, with improved ergonomics and materials. Based on what little can be seen for now, a new intake and headlight treatment should be on the menu in front, with taillights placed higher on its backside.
A three-door version is expected, but a gasoline-hybrid model is also rumored, along with power and fuel economy improvements to the three-cylinder engine that presently puts out 67 horsepower and 69 pound-feet of torque.
We should see it next year, along with the new Citroën C1 and Peugeot 108.

New version of Toyota FT-1 Concept gets racy for Gran Turismo 6

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

Gran Turismo 6 has been the preferred marketing springboard for quite a few brands and concept cars since its debut last winter. Specifically the GT Vision concept idea - allowing manufacturers a built-in place to offer up new, original, drivable content - has enticed the likes of Mercedes, Nissan, Volkswagen, Toyota and more to dream big on the digital stage before pulling the sheets back on real concept cars.
In fact, Toyota teamed its live reveal of the FT-1 Concept at the Detroit Auto Show with an in-game launch of the car, just this past January. Looking for a second bite at the GT6 apple, Toyota has just released a teaser video for a new, FT-1 Vision GT version of the same concept.
The company isn't giving us much to go on save for the 30-second video, saying only that the concept was penned by Toyota's Calty Design Research team in California, and that it will "soon be available for download." By the looks of it, the new FT-1 seems to be more of a racecar than the original, without obvious changes to the basic form. No word on whether or not there's a physical concept car in the offing at a yet-to-be-named auto show. Stay tuned.
