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h Buoy! Toyota sinks to Spongebob depths with custom Highlander
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The launch of the 2014 Toyota Highlander is being assisted by Bikini Bottom's number one resident, SpongeBob SquarePants. The new crossover has been wrapped with SpongeBob's square mug all over it as if he's saying "I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready. I'm ready," from every direction. Inside is a cabin that Toyota says "captures all of the beloved character's high-octane energy," but might make you question whether this is really the world you want to live in.
Revealed on SpongeBob Day at the San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants baseball game in San Diego, CA on July 13, the Highlander will go from there to seven locations nationwide on a "Happy Driving Tour," ending at the LA Auto Show in November.

Couple survives 50-foot fall from overpass in Toyota
Tue, 11 Feb 2014It doesn't matter the make or model - modern vehicles are technological miracles when it comes to occupant protection. Take this story out of New York City, which involved two people going for a very wild ride in a Toyota Matrix.
Carlos and Raquel Broadbelt were on the Cross Bronx Expressway overpass when they hit a patch of ice while dodging a pothole, sending them hurtling into a guardrail and over the side of the overpass. They fell 50 feet onto the road below. Despite the catastrophic accident - and the mangled Toyota - both driver and passenger walked away. The couple spent a night in the hospital just for observation.
The Broadbelts' miraculous survival has even surprised doctors, who told Dave Carlin from CBS New York they'd never seen an accident like it. Take a look below for the full news report from CBS New York.
2014 Toyota Corolla details leaked
Thu, 09 May 2013Toyota will launch the 2014 Corolla later this year, and thanks to the ever-leaky internet, a couple of key details about the new sedan have been revealed. Car and Driver was able to uncover these bits of information thanks to someone at a Toyota dealer in Kansas who has seen the car, as well as its order guide, though the dealer's site has since removed its original posting.
We got our first glimpse at the next-generation Corolla's design at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, where Toyota unveiled the Furia concept, pictured above. Yes, it looks all sporty and aggressive, but fear not, appliance shoppers, C/D says that the production car should have a couple of Furia bits mixed in with a huge helping of Camry-inspired styling.
The 2014 Corolla will reportedly continue to use a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, though the mill has been massaged a bit, adding Toyota's Valvematic continuously variable valve timing. A four-speed automatic (yep!) will be offered in the base model, though the manual transmission now has six gears, and higher trim levels can be had with a CVT. Both engine output and fuel economy numbers should improve slightly over the 2013 model. Currently, the Corolla produces 132 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque, and achieves 27/34 miles per gallon (city/highway) with the five-speed manual 'box.
