1999 Toyota Tacoma Dlx Extended Cab Pickup 2-door 2.7l on 2040-cars

Year:1999 Mileage:200100

Pittsfield, Massachusetts, United States

This is a good running 4x4 in decent to good condition. This has a rebuilt title from Vermont. Frame was rusty when I purchased it and had it totally gone over and is now solid and rust free. The rest of the truck is in nice condition. It is an automatic. I am selling it because I do not like climbing up into a vehicle. It sits to high for me. The 4wheel drive works perfectly as well. The tires are brand new \. The truck could use some brake work as the pedal is low. I have just put a new e-brake cable in as well. With a little extra work this truck will serve well for a long time. The only thing that I can see wrong is the brake work. You have a chance to buy a real sought after truck for a low price. I am not trying to get rich on this truck so the reserve is low. Retail book on the truck with the mileage is $7800.00 . I am no where near that. Call for details 413 441 7415

Toyota recalls 209,000 FJ Cruisers over seatbelt issue

Sat, 16 Mar 2013

Toyota has announced that it will be issuing a substantial recall of the FJ Cruiser for a problem that could cause the front seatbelt retractors to separate from the vehicle body. This recall will apply to all FJ Cruisers - from 2007 through 2013 - totaling around 209,000 units.
The problem stems from the FJ Cruiser's pillarless door opening design that has the front-occupant seatbelts attached to the rear doors. Toyota says that when the rear doors are "repeatedly and forcefully closed," the retractor could completely separate from the door frame.
While there is no information about this recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration yet, Toyota says that there have been no accidents or injuries associated with this issue. No specific fix or recall date are given, but the official press release is posted below.

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.

Toyota reveals new customizable Camatte57s kid-friendly concepts

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

Toyota plans to follow up last year's kid-friendly Camatte concept with two new versions: the Camatte57s and Camatte57s Sport (right). Like the original Camatte, the two new concepts will make their debut at the International Tokyo Toy Show, which is happening this weekend.
Not much has changed with these two new Camatte models. Like their predecessor, they both feature detachable body panels (the count is up to 57), a 1+2 seating array and reconfigurable pedals that allow children to operate the gas and brakes while Mom or Dad steers. What is new is an open-top roadster design that even eschews doors in favor of easier ingress/egress. They look like something a tourist would rent to get around a Hawaiian island, though we dig the distinct personalities of each model's design.
Both cars are all-electric, though Toyota hasn't provided any other specifications, like what makes the Sport model sporty besides its more aggressive body panels and silver, black and red color scheme. That's just as well, as neither concept, like the original Camatte before them, is street legal.
