** Car came within $50.00 of reserve last time, and what I have concluded is that there are people who seem to gain pleasure out of "tire kicking." Kindly do not bid or play games unless you are a serious buyer.
I reserve the right to end the listing early for any reason, as it is also being listed on other resources. I can assist with shipping, as I have a contact who owns a transport company. I can be reached at: 305-302-4617 This is a stock, unmodified Supra that is in near perfect condition. The pictures of the seats show glare, but rest assured, they are not faded at all. 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo - Rare Pearl White / Burgundy - 76000 preserved miles ( looks like a 35-4000 mile car ) - NO ACCIDENTS, ONLY BUMPERS PAINTED DUE TO CLEAR COAT. These Supra's are becoming more rare to find, and in years to come will appreciate in value. Now that we are at the 25th Anniv. mark it qualifies for collector / antique plates. I save seen a couple sell for crazy money already, but I am priced fairly. The original Pearl metallic paint shines beautifully, and never really spent any time outside; garaged morning, noon, and night. The moldings, handles, window glass, lettering, rubber seals, and all other exterior features are in exceptional condition. The wheels are like new and the NItto tires have less than 500 miles on them. No automatic car washes; always hand washed / waxed, and covered. I have all of the books, literature, and dealer service manuals. The exterior is a strong 9.5+ / 10. On the inside, the Burgundy interior still looks, feels, and maintains the newness of 1989. As you can see in the pics, the seats, carpet, and even the floor mats have mats have hardly any wear. All of the interior buttons / switches ( power windows, door locks, cruise, hatch release, and 6 way power seat work without issue ). The Kenwood CD stereo sounds great. The undercarriage is dry and not weathered. Inside, it is a 9.75+ / 10. Mechanically, it starts, idles, and drives smoothly as a babied car should. All of the servicing is up to date - a/c, timing belt, hoses, valve cover / head gasket done, fluids all changed / maintained at the proper intervals. The engine compartment is extra clean / dry, and it performs without hesitation. Of course, the Turbo engine has great pick-up, it shifts like a new car, and is set at the factory 5-6 lbs. of boost. The brakes have plenty of pad left, and all of the other mechanical functions are on point.

Krafcik says US Gov. shutdown is slowing Oct. auto sales
Tue, 15 Oct 2013The government shutdown is eroding consumer confidence in the auto market, says John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai's US sales unit, and could lower October sales by as much as 10 percent, Automotive News reports. "It's that anxiety that keeps customers, potential buyers, on the sidelines when making a big purchase like an automobile," Krafcik says, adding that industry sales could be off by five to 10 percent in October compared to September.
The fourth quarter, which started October 1, usually consists of increased auto sales as dealerships clear their lots to make room for the next year's models. Leading up to the fourth quarter this year, the auto industry was doing well in the fragile, recovering US economy, although September deliveries decreased by 4.2 percent, due in part to this year's Labor Day sales being recorded for August.
To help its customers, Hyundai announced it is deferring new-car loan and lease payments for furloughed federal workers until they're called back to work and also offering them a three-month payment deferral if they buy a new Hyundai in October. "We have already had requests from over a thousand people to have their payments deferred," Krafcik says.
Toyota sees Camry share loss despite predicting increasing sales
Tue, 02 Apr 2013Toyota may be set to lose share the midsize sedan market. While speaking with Automotive News, Toyota North America CEO Jim Lentz said that if his company kept pace with the current swell in the market for family four doors, Toyota would need to sell around 500,000 Camry models. "I'm not sure we can do much more than 400 [thousand] today," Lentz said.
But that doesn't mean Camry sales are shrinking - on the contrary, Lentz thinks Toyota will likely sell more Camry units in 2013 than it did in 2012, it's just that the company isn't keeping pace with segment's current explosion in popularity. Industry wide, midsized sedan sales have increased by 20 percent. "Are we going to lose [Camry] share? Probably so," Lentz said, "but we will continue to grow in raw volume."
Toyota sold 404,886 Camry units last year, and the company just revised its 2013 sales objective from 2.18 million units earlier this year to 2.2-million plus units, so while things are looking up for the brand and Camry sales may be on the rise, Toyota may not have the muscle to keep up its share in the sedan segment. Whether that's because of a production bottleneck or a predicted sales ceiling isn't clear. We've got a call in and will update this news item if/when we learn more.
Toyota FV2 Concept is a single-seat mood ring for the road
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Of all the vehicles Toyota brought to the Tokyo Motor Show, the FV2 might be the most creative. The minimalist single-seat concept is a glimpse at Toyota's idea of a "fun to drive" vehicle in the future.
The FV2 is essentially a pod with a diamond-shaped wheel array (what powers said wheels has not been disclosed), and Toyota says that the technology of the vehicle allows it to gauge the driver's mood and suggest possible destinations. The interaction between driver and vehicle is also displayed in an augmented reality screen on the windshield, and the car can also act as a mood ring of sorts with exterior colors and patterns that can change based on the driver's mood. We can just see it now: "Don't mess with Jim today, his car is red."
Scroll down for a brief press release on the FV2.
