Hello, thanks for looking at my 1992 Toyota Previa! I bought this van for my family a year and half ago. I put on 20,000 miles bringing it to 124,640 miles (may be a few off if I need to drive it for any reason). It's a solid reliable van. It doesn't leak any oil or anything! Engine and transmission are 100%. Runs and drives great. It is inspected until June, 2014. Kept clean, Never smoked in. There are some things it will need/soon need: -The tires are worn down. I'm estimating perhaps 85%. It will need all new tires for the next inspection (in June 2014). Should probably have an alignment. The spare is on the car, so it will need to be put back once the 4 new tires are put on. The spare is on the rear passenger side. -It will need a new "blower motor". The heat can't blow out of the vents without it, leaving the car cold. -A/C Compressor blew the front seal at the end of this summer. I have a new remanufactured A/C compressor and will INCLUDE it. Also because the system will need to be charged it's always recommended to replace the dryer and expansion valve. I bought and will INCLUDE the dryer and expansion valve too! I don't have the Freon or oil charge. -Starter Solenoid is starting to get hung up requiring you to hit the key more than once to start the car on a cold morning. Needs to be replaced by next winter or it could leave you stranded. -Passenger Door handle broken on the outside. Has to be opened from the inside. -Factory CD player doesn't work (never did since I had the car). am/fm works fine. I can give you a coby fm transmitter if you want to listen to your mp3 player, etc. through the radio if you are not planning to replace the stereo system. I just bought a new car and with my job and family obligations and it starting to get cold outside, I just don't have the time to work on these things or pay to keep the van with the new car too. So I'm letting it go. If you have any questions or would like me to email you some additional pictures please feel free to let me know! God bless you and thank you for looking!

2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid

Giving Vanilla A Good Name
"Vanilla." Taken in modern context, that's not a compliment, but it should be. Vanilla actually has exotic origins, and as spices go, only saffron is more costly. Despite the realities, calling something "vanilla" is not whistling in admiration. The Toyota Camry has been called "vanilla" countless times since its debut, but both the car and the bean have something up their sleeves.
Scoff all you want, but vanilla is the most popular ice cream flavor, and there is no mainstream sedan that outsells the Camry. Apparently, vanilla has an underlying tinge of filthy lucre. We didn't feel rich, exactly, wheeling around in the Camry Hybrid, but we came away impressed, nonetheless.

US-built Corollas will soon be exported to Latin America, Caribbean

Sun, 29 Sep 2013

Toyota has announced plans to export the American-made Corolla south, to 18 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean by 2014. The move follows statements made to The Wall Street Journal by Toyota's South American leader, Steve St. Angelo, that spoke to Toyota's resolve in emerging American markets.
Toyota is expected to begin export production in April, with initial production of 7,500 Corollas in the first year, courtesy of its Tupelo, Mississippi assembly plant. Years of unpredictable swings in the value of the Japanese yen has seen Toyota push its manufacturing operations in other countries, particularly the US, where its builds ten different models.

Toyota again claims Corolla outsold Focus worldwide

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Toyota isn't convinced the Ford Focus was the best-selling nameplate globally last year. Bloomberg reports that for the second time in seven months, both Toyota and Ford are laying claim to the title. Ford cites R.L. Polk & Co. data that says the automaker moved some 1.02 million Focus models in 2012 compared to just 872,774 Toyota Corolla units. But Toyota says the actual figure is closer to 1.16 million Corolla models.
Last year, Ford said it took the sales crown through the fist half of 2012 based on information from IHS Automotive, but Toyota pointed out those numbers left out models like the Corolla-based Matrix and Auris, as well as the Corolla Fielder and Scion xB-based Corolla Rumion. Whether or not Toyota's belief that all these cars should be counted in the Corolla bucket is accurate or not is seemingly up for debate... as is the question of why it matters so much to both parties.
This time around, Ford is holding the line that the Focus is the "best-selling nameplate," with Erich Merkle, a US sales analyst with Ford saying the company's figure is, "a pure number that is verified by a third party." Toyota, meanwhile, has requested clarification from Polk.
