Hey, FJ40 lovers Iam selling this beautiful and rare 1980 Toyota FJ40.
Runs very amazing and has no oil leaks I rebuilt the carburator witch is a plus. I bought this FJ40 from the original owner with low miles 124,327 every thing is working all of the gauge and switches are working great. I have added a lot of brand new parts, battery, clutch, brakes, and i rebuilt the transmission. The only down side for this Fj40 would be that sadly it has rust on the floor panel passenger and driver side, but no rust in the chassis since this Fj40 has been all its life in Santa Barbara California which is close to beach; therfore the panel got rust up untill i brought it to Riverside. The person that buys this Fj40 can just fix the rust and enjoy it since the motor run very great and strong you wont have any problem with the engine and transmission i know this for a fact
My husband bought this Fj40 for me. He started fixing it for me to be a daily driving vehicle since i enjoy Fj40 very much But he just bought me an Fj 62 since i have children and AC is more comfortable in Riverside California and it is 4 doors wich comes in handy with children. So i don't need 2 TLC and one must go which is the Fj40
Feel free to e-mail me or call me if you have any question (951)530-1812. ASK For PATRICIA. Good luck with the biding !
OUT OF RESPECT TO ALL THE BIDDERS I WONT BE SHOWING THE TLC LOCALLY UNTILL THE ACUTION IS OVER IF RESERVE IS NOT MET.

MotorWeek proves '90s were awesome with Supra, Stealth, RX-7, Corvette, 968, 300ZX comparo
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Oh, the heady days of 1993, back when the Clinton Presidency was just getting underway, and it seemed like every hot new rock band was coming out of Seattle. Sports cars in the US had finally shaken off the shackles that slowed them during the '70s and '80s, and you could buy any number of legitimately quick vehicles again. MotorWeek recently went digging into its archives to find this six-model test from 1993 showing off some of the best semi-affordable performance coupes that money could buy at the time, and it's priceless.
Featuring the 1994 model year Toyota Supra in twin-turbo guise and MY 1993 versions of the Porsche 968, Nissan 300ZX TT, Mazda RX-7, Dodge Stealth R/T Turbo and Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, MotorWeek definitely covered all of the bases. One thing that might surprise younger readers is these cars' performance. The video only provides 0-60 acceleration times, but several of these vehicles would still be considered pretty potent today - over 20 years since going on sale. The Supra is especially impressive, hitting 60 miles per hour in just 5 seconds. Even today, that's nothing to sneeze at.
Given their performance potential and still-attractive looks, it's amazing that some of these coupes are old enough to drink now. The progress of interior design and safety equipment in the intervening years is pretty shocking, though. In most of these models, having two airbags is touted as a big deal. Scroll down to watch a Throwback Thursday blast from the past about some of the '90s best sports cars.
2013 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, Practice Day 4
Fri, 28 Jun 2013The fourth and final practice day of the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb is complete. Tomorrow everyone will make any last-minute adjustments and get their cars, their bits and bobs lined up in the pits for Sunday morning's this-time-it-counts run.
The Unlimited runners took on the top section of the course today, Sébastien Loeb and his big-mouth Peugeot acing the practice test again with a time of 2:11. Rhys Millen's team proved its got the engine issues of two days ago in the Hyundai PM580T sorted out, posting the next-best time at 2:27.16. The reason we had to dip all the way into the hundredths for his time is because he nipped Romain Dumas by just .31 of them, the Frenchman in the Norma M20FC PP running the course in 2:27.47. In fourth came the Frenchman in the monster Mini, Jean-Philippe Dayraut six seconds back at 2:33.
Time Attack competitors, also on the upper section, were led by Paul Dallenbach in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a time of 2:36, Porsche pilot Jeff Zwart crossing the line six seconds later at 2:42, fellow Porsche driver David Donner coming in another six seconds back at 2:48. Dallenbach has topped three of the four practice-day sessions, sliding into the second spot behind Donner only on Practice Day 2.
Toyota recounts past Supra glories
Mon, 29 Jul 2013It could just be a slow start to the news week around the Toyota offices, but its UK blog has posted a brief history on its legendary Supra sports car. Read into however you'd like, but there has been plenty of speculation as to the return of the Supra nameplate in recent years (including last month from incoming Toyota chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada).
Built from April 1978 through July 2002, Toyota's sports coupe made quite a name for itself as both the Celica Supra (shown above) and the Supra, and the blog post charts many of the changes and highlights through the years. Head on over to the Toyota UK blog to read more about this Supra's history, and then be sure to check out the gallery of images from Toyota spanning all four generations.
