1982 Toyota Land Cruiser Fj60 128k Original Miles Tan With Brown Arb on 2040-cars
Casselberry, Florida, United States
Up for sale is a beautiful 1982 Toyota Landcruiser FJ60. This landcruiser has only 128,504 original miles, and comes with a clear title, its original window sticker, and owners manuals. It runs great and has many new parts. I bought this landcruiser a couple years ago, and have put all new clutch components, 31x10.50 BFG's(still have the nipples on them)and battery into it. It also has an ARB Bull bar and heavy duty shackles. The landcruiser would make a great driver and off road vehicle. See pictures. The only things I can think of that this cruiser needs is a stereo and a headliner. The headliner was falling apart when I got it, so I just took it out. I do still have the headliner pieces. The exterior has NO RUST. The only rust spots are under the battery, the inner lower quarter, and a couple small spots on the drivers floor. When I got the cruiser I had all exterior rust repaired with welded patch panels and a driver quality Base/Clear beige paintjob. The original color was brown. If you are interested in the landcruiser feel free to contact me with questions or to come see it. I would always recommend seeing a car before buying it. I am in the Orlando Florida area. Buyer is responsible for shipping.

Toyota settles for $3M after being found liable in sudden acceleration case
Sat, 26 Oct 2013A jury has decided that faulty software was to blame for a crash involving a 2005 Toyota Camry that killed one woman and injured another. This is the first time Toyota has been found liable by a jury in a lawsuit involving sudden acceleration claims. Toyota has maintained that driver error is the most likely cause for cases of sudden acceleration.
Shortly after the jury in the case, which took place in Oklahoma and centered around a crash that injured 76-year-old Jean Bookout and killed her passenger, Barbara Schwarz, reached a verdict that would see Toyota paying $3 million in compensatory damages, a confidential settlement was reached. The jury, which had found Toyota liable for "reckless disregard" for public safety, had yet to decide what punitive damages Toyota would face.
Toyota said in a statement, "While we strongly disagree with the verdict, we are satisfied that the parties reached a mutually acceptable agreement to settle this case. We will continue to defend our products vigorously at trial in other legal venues."
Toyota must go to trial over unintended acceleration suits
Tue, 08 Oct 2013Toyota is surely readying its trial lawyers, as the Japanese giant is officially headed to court in a pair of cases relating to its unintended acceleration fiascos of 2009 and 2010.
In the first case, the United States Supreme Court has actually got involved in matters, ignoring an appeal from Toyota that attempted to use an arbitrator to settle its California lawsuits. The automaker will now go to trial to face owners of 2010 Prius models over an alleged defect with the anti-lock braking systems, which plaintiffs say made the cars more difficult to stop, according to Bloomberg.
The second trial is a bit more in depth, covering the case of Ida St. John, an 83-year-old from Georgia, that crashed her 2005 Camry in 2009. The accident is believed to have played a part in her death, although the suit, being filed by her grandson, doesn't actually place blame on Toyota for her death.
Toyota announces Geneva plans including droptop FT-86 Open concept
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Automakers from around the globe are gearing up for the Geneva Motor Show next month, and Toyota is giving us a couple teasers of what will be in its display. In addition to what appears to be a single-seat concept called the i-Road (shown at right), Toyota will also give us our first look at a droptop Scion FR-S courtesy of the FT-86 Open Concept.
All we have to go on right now is this sketch shown above, but we do see that this car will retain its rear seats, which could be a potential advantage over one of its key rivals, the Mazda MX-5 Miata. Toyota says that this concept will be used to gauge public interest in such a convertible, but we've already heard that a Scion convertible is already planned to go on sale as soon as early next year. As far as Toyota's other concept, there also isn't much information about the i-Road except that it will be a zero-emissions vehicle and it will have seating for two passengers, which based on the drawing will have the driver sitting in front of the passenger.
Toyota will also show off the European version of the new RAV4 as well as its new Auris Touring Sports, which it refers to as a "medium-size estate." Scroll down for Toyota's tease of a press release.
