This is a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 that has been turned into the ultimate dual purpose rig.  Drive it to the trails at interstate speeds, wheel it hard and drive it back home. I put approximately 1000 miles on it with no issues.  This truck is super fun to drive and I hate to see it go.  There are a ton of parts on this truck and I have the majority of the receipts for parts.  Have a ton of photos and if there is anything in particular you would like to see let me know.  Here we go:

GA does not issue titles for vehicles of this age.  Will be sold on bill of sale.  Is currently registered and tagged in state of GA.  There is a youtube video of the truck, but couldn't get my computer to cooperate to embed on ebay page, just search for FJ40 5.0 for sale. If you have any questions feel free to call Todd 706-220-0395.

No reserve auction.  Too many projects, not enough space so this one has to go.  Only reason I am selling.  No warranty.  Also for sale locally, so auction may end early.

Toyota prices fuel cell sedan $70K in Japan, coming to US and Europe next summer [w/video]

Wed, 25 Jun 2014

Toyota has finally unveiled its FCV hydrogen fuel cell sedan and its Japanese price. We won't have to wait too long to see the first of these revolutionary vehicles on the roads. It will go on sale in Japan in April 2015 and will come to the US and Europe later that summer.
In Japan, the FCV will be priced at roughly 7 million yen before taxes ($68,810 at current exchange rates). However, Toyota makes it clear in the press release that we shouldn't try to extrapolate US MSRP from that figure, saying that official pricing for the US and Europe has not yet been determined. As will be the case in the US, sales in Japan will be limited to parts of the country that already have a hydrogen refueling infrastructure (that means you, California).
The production version of the FCV looks almost identical to the concept from last year's Tokyo Motor Show. There is a new vertical strip of LEDs at each corner of the front air intake and real sideview windows, instead of the nubs on the prototype. The weird squiggles from the rear trim are also gone in favor of a more production-ready look, but the taillights survive the changes mostly intact.

2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport

Tue, 16 Apr 2013

"Oh yeah, Toyota still makes the Tacoma." Admit it, that's what you just said to yourself. It's a perfectly natural reaction, but the Tacoma has been quietly anchoring its segment for years, outselling every other compact pickup without making too much of a fuss. Toyota hasn't neglected the Tacoma - it was updated in 2012 with a revised nose and interior as the most noteable changes.
In a world awash with high-value fullsize pickups all vying for your attention, the Tacoma still charms more than a few buyers out of their cash. I hooked a Tacoma for a week to see whether it still has enough to recommend it.

Toyota Auris gets new Touring Sports variant

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Toyota showed off the Touring Sports version of the Auris next to the newly introduced Auris Hybrid at last year's Paris Motor Show, but didn't say much about it. Six months later, just ahead of the Geneva Motor Show, the company is crowing about that wagon going on sale with the Hybrid Synergy Drive, creating the Auris Touring Sports Hybrid.
The hauling version of the exceptionally popular Auris hatchback doesn't just add a hybrid wagon to the compact segment, Toyota says it offers class-leading load capacity of 1,658 liters with the Easy-Flat one-touch rear seats down. With the rear seats up, it offers 530 liters. The little big gulp is possible because the hybrid batteries have been placed under the rear seats instead of being in the luggage area.
It looks the same as the hatchback save for the fact that it's 285 millimeters (11.2 inches) longer behind the C pillar, has a redesigned tailgate and a lower load floor. Engines beyond the hybrid will match the rest of the lineup: 1.3-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline engines and a 1.4-liter D-4D diesel. There's a chance we'll see it in Geneva, if we don't there's a press release below to tell you all about it.
