Assessment: Body/Frame: There is some rust, but no pitting or
structural issues. The Body is in good shape. There is one cancer spot
(pictured) on the driver’s side rear below the seal. Otherwise the body is in
good shape. Paint is in decent shape, Capri Blue (color code T310) Electrical: windshield wiper motor is shot. (Additional
wiper motor and housing included). Headlights and turn signals work. Factory
horn is not working and an aftermarket one is installed with a button on the
dash. Speedometer works but needs to be cleaned. (It bounces above 50 mph)
Refurbished Intake and new Carb installed. Original Carb included. Interior/doors: New Soft Top and
new Soft Top Bows primed in grey from Real Steel. Trollhole Cruisers is a full
time Land Cruiser restoration company who has begun manufacturing soft tops for
the older Land Cruisers that look like the old factory soft tops did. It is a
brand new high quality top in canvas. The top is on the truck in some pictures
but is NOT fully installed, all hardware to complete install IS included. SOR
Seat covers over the original front seats. They need to be redone. The rear has
a very nice bench seat. All seats have 4 point crow harness systems. Doors need to be
redone so glass is secure. I am including all weather stripping and felt for
them. Glass is in good shape. Doors have some rust holes on the bottom. The
rear half “barn doors” and rear bumper have been bent and are not fully flush
with the rear seal but function and are structurally sound. A 1974 factory roll
bar is included all though not original to this year or truck. Engine/Drivetrain: The 1F runs
strong and has been converted from a 3 on the tree to a floor shifter. The rear
main seal needs to be replaced so the Cruiser does “mark its territory” with a
nickel sized oil stain after being driven for 30 minutes. All cylinders have
good compression. Truck has a clear
Mississippi Title. It is located in Madison, MS and is 30 minutes from the
Jackson Airport. I will assist with shipping at buyers expense. Seller reserves
right to end auction early. All sales are final with vehicle being sold where
is, as is. The truck and clear title remain with seller until complete
payment is received! Contact and Questions: Please ask any
questions here on ebay as others will probably have the same questions. Once
the auction is over I will be available via phone to work with the buyer on
shipping if needed. |

Toyota nears $40B cash reserve as calls grow for new investment, payouts
Wed, 05 Feb 2014With the April 15 tax deadline just a few months away, our US readers will be faced with a decision should they get a refund: save or spend? It seems this issue is one many of us face whenever there's a windfall, trying to decide whether we should set the money aside in an account of some sort or use it as a down payment on a new car or a trip to the Apple store. Unsurprisingly, major corporations face a similar, albeit more complex, issue.
Take Toyota, for example. With President Akio Toyoda at the helm, the Japanese manufacturer has gracefully weathered recalls and natural disasters, all while turning beaucoup profits. Last quarter, profits quintupled to 434.4-billion yen ($4.3-billion USD), according to Bloomberg. Toyota also upped its forecast for the end of fiscal year 2013 (which ends on March 31 for Japan), to a record 1.9-trillion yen (about $18.8 billion). Now, the Japanese brand is reportedly sitting on a cash pile of nearly $40 billion, leaving Toyoda-san in an envious predicament - what should the company do with all that money?
Some think Toyota should be doing something, anything with that big stack of cash.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
