1970 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. In one family it's entire life. One of the best FJ 40 restoration cannidates you will find. Not many early FJ40's bodies in this good condition for restoration projects available today. Has not ran in over 10 yrs. Needs complete restoration. Engine is complete but is locked up and will not turn over from setting several years without running. Three speed transmission. The original factory color is Spring Green, however several years ago it was painted in black primer color. There is no top that goes with this FJ 40 in this auction. What you see in pictures is what you get. As far as rust,it is very very minimal ( see pictures ). Very straight body. The rear floor pan and front floor boards have the usual surface rust only but are very solid including the cross member under the rear barn doors. The area above the rear wheels is also rust free. The rockers and rear panels are rust free. The front fenders are also rust free. The three existing rust holes is confined to the area under the drivers seat in the tool box area and is on flat metal areas that will make for an easy repair of these two areas and a very small hole between seats that is to small to get in a picture. Built in August / 1970. Complete driveline and power train. The windshield is cracked. All body panels are straight except for the left rear fender which is very minor damage and the right running board which is also very minimal damage. The holes that are in the front floor boards you might see in the pictures are factory holes, and the holes in the rear inside fender wells are the factory holes for the factory rollbar but it was replaced with a custom rollbar which left the holes from the original rollbar visible. I've made every effort to give as much detailed pictures and information, however if you have additional questions feel free to contact me via email or by phone at 918-606-1338. No texting please. Good Oklahoma title but tag has not been current for several years.

Toyota to shock with Supra concept for Detroit Auto Show?
Fri, 06 Dec 2013We've written about approximately 187,000 rumors about a return of the Toyota Supra to the land of living cars. There are a couple of good reasons for this: first, Toyota won't stop dropping hints about a new halo sports car. Late this summer, Toyota sales guru Kazuo Ohara called a Supra successor "one of the options we have" - a comment followed by a hint that there would be "better news" on the subject in the future.
The second reason for all the Toyota tales is, of course, that we all have missed the Supra since its departure from the US market in 1998. So, when a member of the Autoblog team is party to a nudge-and-wink-filled conversation about a new Supra concept headed to January's Detroit Auto Show, we tend to listen up.
A 400+ horsepower hybrid sports car would match up pretty well with the upcoming NSX.
180,000 new vehicles are sitting, derailed by lack of transport trains
Wed, 21 May 2014If you're planning on buying a new car in the next month or so, you might want to pick from what's on the lot, because there could be a long wait for new vehicles from the factory. Locomotives continue to be in short supply in North America, and that's causing major delays for automakers trying to move assembled cars.
According to The Detroit News, there are about 180,000 new vehicles waiting to be transported by rail in North America at the moment. In a normal year, it would be about 69,000. The complications have been industry-wide. Toyota, General Motors, Honda and Ford all reported experiencing some delays, and Chrysler recently had hundreds of minivans sitting on the Detroit waterfront waiting to be shipped out.
The problem is twofold for automakers. First, the fracking boom in the Bakken oil field in the Plains and Canada is monopolizing many locomotives. Second, the long, harsh winter is still causing major delays in freight train travel. The bad weather forced trains to slow down and carry less weight, which caused a backup of goods to transport. The auto companies resorted to moving some vehicles by truck, which was a less efficient but necessary option.
Toyota C-HR Concept is a high-riding hybrid hatch [w/video]
Thu, 02 Oct 2014Despite having the tendency to offer decidedly bland production cars, Toyota occasionally surprises us with interesting concept cars. Such is the case with the C-HR concept making its debut at the Paris Motor Show this week. It's a concept showing forward-thinking design that hints at "a type of crossover vehicle Toyota would like to bring to market," according to the automaker's release, and it rides on an all-new platform and uses a hybrid powertrain.
About that powertrain: Toyota isn't revealing anything, just saying that it will - brace yourselves - "deliver significantly improved fuel efficiency" (over what, exactly?) The car also uses a brand-new architecture, though it hasn't really revealed any major details about that aspect, either.
It's a high-riding, muscular thing, with a rakish hatchback shape. Should it reach production, Toyota says it would take the shape of a C-segment crossover. It'd be cool to see something like this hit the road someday, but for now, we won't hold our breath.
