Up for auction is a very nice 2008 Toyota Corolla CE with less then 30,000 original miles. It was purchased new in 2007 at Jones Junction in Bel Air Md. It was traded back at Jones with roughly 23,000 miles on it at which point my grandmother purchased it and it currently has 29,509 miles on it. It has power steering, brakes, windows, locks and cruise control. The vehicle is in excellent condtion, the interior has no wear or stains. There is 1 scratch on the rear bumper cover which can be seen in one of the pictures. The vehicle has a clean carfax and has had all services done at Jones since purchased by my grandmother. Actual mileage may vary by up to 200 miles by the timne auction ends. I have no problem running the car through Md State inspection for the buy it now price. The vehicle is listed for sale locally and the auction can be ended at anytime. If you wish to see or drive the car in person before you bid please contact me and we can make arrangements. This vehicle is being sold with no warranties expressed or implied. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end, the balance is due within 14 days in the form of cas or certified bank check. Toyota mints 10-millionth vehicle in Kentucky
Fri, 30 May 2014In 26 years, from 1988 up to now, the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky plant in Georgetown has built ten million vehicles - nearly enough for every citizen of Seoul, Korea or the nation of Hungary. The first car to roll off the line back when the claymation California Raisins were singing old Marvin Gaye hits and everybody wanted to know Who Framed Roger Rabbit? was a white Camry. The ten-millionth car to roll off the line among the Avalons and Venzas also produced there: a white Camry Hybrid.
Toyota has put $5.9 billion into the site since its inception, employment is up to 7,000 associates and will grow when Lexus ES350 assembly begins next year. Whereas car number one is a showpiece for the ages, one of the automaker's current associates will get to win the ten-millionth car in a blind drawing to be held this summer.

Jay Leno goes offroading with the legendary Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Jay Leno takes a step outside of his cavernous garage for this latest video for a jaunt into the desert to get a little dirty. He meets up with off-road racing legend Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart, who has multiple Baja 500 and 1000 wins in his motorsports career, to play with a Toyota Tundra in the sand.
Unfortunately, Leno doesn't get to interview Stewart too deeply about his long history in racing, but Ironman does talk a little bit about reading the trail while speeding through the desert. In lieu of a great conversation, there is a ton of high-quality footage of the Toyota bounding through the desert.
This clip feels more like a marketing effort than the usual output from Jay Leno's Garage, but it's still great to see Stewart behind the wheel sliding a truck, just like old times. The two of them even take the truck on a somewhat humorous journey at the end of the video.
