For sales is a 1989 Toyota Corolla GT-S 4 speed with 4age engine, which lets face it has seen better days. The car no longer drives, it ran fine until the fuel pump went out several years ago, and has never been driven since. The engine has been well maintained for a car that has more than 250K miles on it, more things work on the car than not. This uncommon version of the corolla would be great to get parts for a restoration or to fix problems with a functioning corolla, car does drive but have been informed that it would cost to much to restore. The car as mentioned does not start so the lucky new owner would have to pay to remove the car and transport it to its new location. Thanks for looking!

Toyota recalls 209,000 FJ Cruisers over seatbelt issue
Sat, 16 Mar 2013Toyota has announced that it will be issuing a substantial recall of the FJ Cruiser for a problem that could cause the front seatbelt retractors to separate from the vehicle body. This recall will apply to all FJ Cruisers - from 2007 through 2013 - totaling around 209,000 units.
The problem stems from the FJ Cruiser's pillarless door opening design that has the front-occupant seatbelts attached to the rear doors. Toyota says that when the rear doors are "repeatedly and forcefully closed," the retractor could completely separate from the door frame.
While there is no information about this recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration yet, Toyota says that there have been no accidents or injuries associated with this issue. No specific fix or recall date are given, but the official press release is posted below.

Toyota explains what names like Camry and Yaris mean

The sitcom Seinfeld opened Episode 94 - the one where George Costanza buys a Chrysler LeBaron instead of a Volvo - with a bit about nameplates like Integra, Supra and Impreza. Toyota, clearly, is not exempt from choosing evocative but enigmatic names for its models, and now the Japanese automaker is taking us through the etymology of some of its nameplates.
Names like Supra may require no clarification, but what about Camry? That comes from the Japanese word kanmuri for Crown (which is, incidentally, the name of another Toyota sedan).
Yaris? According to the company, it's "an amalgamation of words from Greek mythology and German. In Greek mythology, 'Charis' was a symbol of beauty and elegance. Toyota swapped the 'Ch' with 'Ya' - German for 'yes' - to symbolize the perceived reaction of European markets to the car's styling."
