Hello everyone,

I am selling my 2007 Toyota Camry SE. The color is Barcelona Red. It has 73,489 miles. It will have that many miles the day you buy it as I have purchased another car and have no need to drive this one anymore. I recently purchased a Prius for the additional fuel economy since my wife and I have decided to start a family of our own. This Camry has the 3.5 liter V6 and puts out just over 270 HP. It is a quick car. It is also equipped with the TRD exhaust which provides a nice note as well as a K&N intake up front. Air flows much better in this car in comparison to that of a stock Camry. You can hear the intake sucking air if you listen closely. The car is in great condition. It has low miles. The AC blows cold. It comes with the bluetooth wireless connectivity for hands-free calls as well as an upgraded JBL stereo and MP3 multi disk changer. The tires were replaced about 2,000 miles ago and were recently rotated. The windows are tinted so it's not that hot when you get in after having sat in the sun for hours on end. The original paint looks great. There are also weather-tech floor mats and a dash cover. Everything is well protected. I am located in Queen Creek, AZ. The car is available to look at if you are local. If you are interested, call, text, or email me. My cell number is 480-349-3449. The price is based on KBB in good condition.

Toyota's $1.6B unintended acceleration settlement approved

Sat, 20 Jul 2013

Toyota is now one step closer to putting its unintended acceleration woes behind it as it has received approval from the US District Court for the Central District of California to settle loss-of-value claims to vehicles associated with the 2009-2010 recalls.
As we reported back in May, the Toyota settlement is worth $1.63 billion, which, according to Bloomberg, includes a payout of $757 million to affected owners, $227 million to attorneys and an additional $875 million for vehicle upgrades. (We did the math, too, and that totals $1.859 billion, but there is no justification for the discrepancy. Fuzzy math, eh?)
Based on the estimated 22.6 million vehicles said to be included in this suit, that would make the average payment about $33.49 per vehicle, but the article says that owners, lessees and even renters will receive varying amounts ranging from $9.74 up to as much as $10,000. This settlement does not affect suits filed for personal injury or wrongful death.

Toyota gives dealers permission to drop Scion, shows them FR-S droptop, Juke rival first

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

We recently heard that Toyota could be looking to shrink its network of Scion dealerships, and now Automotive News is reporting that the automaker has officially given its dealers the green light to dump Scion without any penalties. Currently, Scion has about 1,000 dealers, yet our report from August 8 quotes an industry analyst as suggesting a healthier figure would be between 350 and 500 outlets. But before its current dealers make a decision on whether or not to get rid of the youth-oriented brand, Toyota also showed off a couple potential future products in the pipeline.
The FT-86 Open Concept shown above was revealed back in March at the Geneva Motor Show, and AN says that an FR-S convertible was driven on stage at a recent national Toyota dealer meeting in Atlanta. There has still been no definitive word one way or another as to whether the droptop model will be built, but it could be a good way to follow up to the popular FR-S coupe. Another possible future product is a subcompact crossover, which was shown in drawing form at the meeting, presumably aimed at small CUVs like the Nissan Juke and the upcoming Honda CUV based on the Fit, a model recently previewed by the automaker's Urban SUV concept.

New Toyota semiconductors could increase hybrid fuel efficiency by 10%

Wed, 21 May 2014

Toyota may have an ace up its sleeve in the fuel economy wars, as it's developed a new type of semiconductor that will allegedly help the company's hybrids net a ten-percent improvement in fuel economy.
The tech is still in development, although Toyota is already reporting five-percent gains during testing, six years before it plans to implement the new semiconductor in production vehicles, meaning the ten-percent improvement doesn't seem like an untenable goal. That is, until you hear from Kimimori Hamada, the project general manager of Toyota's electronics division.
"We are aiming for great improvement in fuel economy and miniaturization," Hamada told Automotive News. "This is a very challenging target."
