This is a 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport Model. This 4Runner has the V-8 engine and 4Hi and 4Low four wheel drives. I had purchased it in Va., thinking my wife would use it when her wagon lease expired. I have replaced the following parts: Timing Belt, Air Filter, Water Pump, Thermostat, Upper and Lower Radiator Hoses, Radiator, Timing Belt Tensioner, Timing Belt Pullys and Drive Belts. I have also changed the engine oil( Castrol GTX), Front, Rear, and Center Differential Fluids (Mobile 1), and automatic transmission fluid was exchanged using Toyoto WS Fluid. Also, Toyota Red coolant was used when I replaced the radiator.
The truck drives great, everything works. There are a few scratches on the paint, and a few chips on the front of the hood. It appears the front bumper has small damage to it if you look at the picture closely. Absolutly NO RUST!!!! Interior is in great condition, no holes or rips in seats. I am only selling to get my wife a vehicle with third row seating. If you have any questions, please ask. I provided alot of pictures but if you want more, just ask. If you would like to look a the vehicle in person, my scedule is very flexible. The zip code is 08096 where the truck is located. As with any used vehicle, you may find minor imperfections as this truck is almost 10 years old. Please dont hesitate to stop by and look it over. Thanks
*** I've had some questions about the maintenence that I have done to the vehicle. Since I didn't know when the timing belt was done by the previous owner, I took it upon myself to do the timing belt and water pump. since i had the front of the engine apart, I decided to do the tentioner and pulleys. being that a new radiator was only $250, I decided to do that also, just as a precaution. that way, the engine maintenence was done for the next 90,000 miles for the new owner. ****

Sales incentive growth clustered around brands with few CUVs, trucks
Wed, 24 Sep 2014While it's arguably been around the longest, the dominance of the four-door sedan has been under threat for many years. As a further sign of the hurtin' that SUVs and crossovers have put on today's four-doors, a new report from Automotive News points to the increasing use of incentives by brands reliant on cars and light on CUVs and pickups.
Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen and Kia have all been stung by double-digit increases in their incentives-to-transaction price ratio, according to AN, which cites data from TrueCar. Honda's ratio is up 14 percent, while Toyota, VW and Kia are up 18, 15 and 19 percent, respectively.
"Most of the incentive growth we have seen is in product segments with low demand - midsized or large sedans," TrueCar CEO John Krafcik told AN. "As this trend goes on, the brands with three-sedan strategies are going to be in worse shape on incentive spending than the crossover brands."
Toyota investing $200M in Southern manufacturing
Sun, 23 Jun 2013Over the past two years, Toyota has invested more than $2 billion at its North American production facilities, and it apparently doesn't plan on stopping there. To keep up with recent strong sales, Toyota is investing an additional $200 million at its engine plants in the Southern US to increase production capacity of its V6 engines.
The bulk of this money ($150 million) will go to expand Toyota's engine plant in Huntsville, AL, which is currently responsible for supplying engines - four-cylinder, V6 and V8 - to eight of Toyota's 12 domestically produced vehicles. That includes the best-selling Toyota Camry (shown above).
Toyota didn't say exactly what improvements are being made to the plant, but this follows last year's $80 million investment in the plant that is set to be completed by next year raising the engine capacity to 750,000 annual units including 362,000 V6s. The remaining $50 million will go to the casting plants of Toyota-owned Bodine Aluminum in Missouri and Tennessee, which supply engine blocks and cylinder heads to the Huntsville engine plant as well as others in Kentucky and West Virginia. Lightweight Toyota GT86 spotted on Nordschleife with carbon panels, upgraded aero
Tue, 24 Jun 2014We've seen (and frankly reported on) so many rumors of more powerful and performance-focused versions of the Subaru BRZ, Toyota GT86 and Scion FR-S at this point that haven't materialized that, at this point, we're almost tired of them. Almost. But what we have here was enough to pique our jaded interests as only a carbon-bodied sports car on the Nürburgring could do.
What we're looking at is, well, we don't quite know, to tell you the truth. What we can tell is that it's a Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S for us) wearing new wheels and a carbon-fiber hood, roof, racing-spec rear wing and subtle lip spoiler. The vents in the hood indicate that the prototype in question could be packing an upgraded engine to go with the lighter body panels and upgraded aero, and the interior (at least as far as we can see) looks pretty well stripped out.
The right-hand drive configuration tells us this is either destined for former territories of the British Empire or for the racetrack. Considering the ride height, full glass and apparent lack of roll cage, our money's on this prototype is being developed for the Japanese Domestic Market, where Toyota badges the sports car simply as the 86. We can always hope, though, that some version makes it into Scion showrooms in North America... we just won't get our hopes up too high.
