It has some minor surface scratches that I've touched-up since and the leather uphostery on one side of the driver's seat has a small tear from wear, aside from that it is in beautiful shape. I just replaced the front brakes (rear brakes are in perfect condition), just had the 110,000 maintenance done on 7/5/13, vehicle currently has only 108,590 miles, mostly highway miles. This vehicle has a very smooth ride, handles exceptionally well on rough terrain or slippery roads due to full-time 4WD and the V8 engine has great acceleration and towing capacity. Towing package included!"

This vehicle is in great condition, I bought it new and took very good care of it.  I LOVE this 4Runner, but I'm moving overseas and unfortunately I can't take it with me!

This vehicle is the Limited V8 model and loaded!  It features full-time 4WD, 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with traction control and downhill assist, a premium JBL sound system with 5-disc CD and cassette player and rear seat audio system, heated power leather seats, air conditioning with dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and a leather wrapped steering wheel with built-in audio controls.  For safety it has front and side curtain airbags, rear defrost, variable speed front and read windshield wipers, and fog lights.  This vehicle has a VERY smooth ride, handles exceptionally well on rough terrain or slippery roads due to full-time 4WD, ABS and traction control, and the V8 engine has great acceleration and towing capacity.  Towing package included!

I've never had any reliability issues or accidents with it, you can see the AutoCheck report for a full history.  I just replaced the front brakes (rear brakes are in perfect condition), just had the 110,000 maintenance and a full safety inspection done on 7/5/13, and this vehicle currently has only 108,590 miles, mostly highway miles.

I'm the sole owner and took very good care of this vehicle, she was my baby!  It has some minor surface scratches that I've touched-up since and the leather uphostery on one side of the driver's seat has a small tear from wear, aside from that this vehicle is in beautiful shape.

Five automakers now being investigated by NHTSA for airbag woes

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

It appears that Toyota's renotification to owners of recalled vehicles from last year is just the tip of the iceberg for what could potentially be a much larger industry-wide recall. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening a preliminary evaluation investigation into roughly 1.1 million vehicles from Chrysler, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Toyota and parts supplier Takata regarding faulty airbag inflators in several models.
NHTSA has received six reports - three directly, two from Takata and one from Toyota - of vehicles with ruptured airbag inflators from 2002-2006, which resulted in three injuries. So far, all six incidents have occurred in high humidity areas like Florida and Puerto Rico. According to Toyota's latest recall announcement, the inflators may have an improper propellant that could cause it to rupture in a crash and the bag to deploy abnormally.
This new investigation follows a previous recall from April 2013 of about 3.4 million vehicles worldwide for the airbag inflators from Takata. As Autoblog reported, Toyota jumpstarted the new situation when it found that the original list of serial numbers for the faulty part was incomplete and discovered more cars in need of replacement. Honda and Nissan told us that they were investigating whether further models would need called in again as well. Mazda told Autoblog: "Regarding the current Takata situation, we're working closely with NHTSA and investigating the situation, but nothing else to report at this time." Chrysler Group responded to us with the statement: "Chrysler Group engineers are conducting the appropriate analysis. The Company will cooperate fully with the National Highway Traffic Administration."

Details about next-gen Toyota Prius emerge

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

The Toyota Prius is undeniably the king of the hybrid market in the United States, with a 39.4 percent market share in 2013. With the next-generation Prius likely to go on sale in 2015, Toyota is trying to build an even more efficient hybrid to keep its control of the market.
Keeping cost down will be one of the major concerns of the new Prius. The next generation will ride on the new, modular Toyota New Global Architecture platform. The lighter underpinnings will improve efficiency and will reduce production costs by allowing for more shared components among vehicles. Toyota will not reveal how many vehicles will use the new platform. But even with the cheaper platform, price will remain a concern. Toyota is still deciding whether all versions of the next Prius will use lithium-ion batteries or whether some models will stick with the heavier nickel-metal hydride batteries to keep cost down.
Of course, the reason most people buy the Prius is because of its great fuel efficiency. Toyota will aim for at least an 8 percent improvement in fuel economy in the next Prius, which would increase it to 58 miles per gallon city and 52 mpg highway.

Meet the Most Elegant Automobile, and it's for sale

Sat, 08 Jun 2013

Alright, so maybe "most elegant" is a bit of a stretch, but we feel safe in calling the 1992 Toyota Paseo in the video below an "automobile." High praise, we know. Still, it's clear someone loves the awkward little coupe enough to produce a hilarious video to sell the thing. Henry Floyd worked up a quick parody of the over-the-top luxury car ads we all know and loathe, and while the finished product is a little skimpy on details like price or location, it certainly doesn't hold back on the exposition.
Hell, if we didn't already have a parade of horrible ideas floating around our collective driveways, we might even be convinced to give this little heap a new home. You can check out the ad for yourself below, just don't be surprised if you find yourself with a burning desire to own a Paseo.
