1987 Suzuki Samurai Tin Top on 2040-cars

Year:1987 Mileage:100000
Location:

Lincoln, Nebraska, United States

Lincoln, Nebraska, United States

I recently purchased this 1987 Samurai Tin Top, and have had a lot of fun with it in the short time I have owned it. Unfortunatley, I recently found out that I will be moving for work after graduation and cannot take this along with me. The samurai has a Spring over axle lift, 32x11.5x15 Goodyear MTR tires that are in great shape and have about 85% tread. When I bought the samurai it came with a lot of extra parts, so it will also come with an extra set of 30x9.5x15 buckshot mudders that are on original Samurai rims. They have about 40% tread. I also have a complete rear axle and whole set of leaf springs front and rear (4). Also comes with a spare transfer case, and a brand new front bearing kit. The body is in pretty good shape and only has one dent that is located on the rear passenger corner, but does not effect opening of back door. The samurai is a 5 speed manual, and has a New clutch, K&N aftermarket air filter and mount. The motor is the samurai 1.3 and it not original. The motor is solid and has not given me any issues. It is estimated to have around 100,000 miles. It also comes with a complete spare 1.3 engine that I was told only has 27k on it! The paint is original so it is faded on the roof and does have small surface rust areas on the body. Interior is in good shape, and has a good removable rear seat also. No tears in the seats or anything! Previous owner welded in new metal where there was previous rust hole. Does have fender flares and have not checked for any rust under them as they seem to be in good shape. Wipers and windows work. Lights work all around. Has all the components, minus pump, for A/C and heat works great in this cold weather. Since I purchased the vehicle I have put on brand new shocks all around, complete new parking brake system, rebuilt the carb, replaced the door handles and gone through the engine. I also just added a stereo that has an alpine head unit with aux and CD player. Have reciepts for everything if needed. Could be a daily driver or a solid start to a crawler or mudder. Have title in hand. Feel free to text or call me if you want to take a look or make an offer. Buyer is responsible for shipping or local pick up. Thanks, Shaun. 402- six79- six507. Item is also for sale locally so I Reserve the right to end the auction early.

Suzuki previews new S-Cross compact CUV ahead of Paris debut

Fri, 10 Aug 2012

Despite having one heck of a lackluster presence here in the United States, Suzuki still manages to do well in other markets. That in mind, the automaker continually releases new products and concept cars at international auto shows that aren't destined for U.S. consumption, but this might not be one of those times.
The aging SX4 crossover is in need of replacement, and if Suzuki is still committed to selling passenger cars in the States, something fresh like this S-Cross concept could be just the ticket. Suzuki has, after all, confirmed that the S-Cross will eventually make its way into production.
We have no other details to divulge about the S-Cross, except that it's a small crossover concept and that it will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. Suzuki says that the S-Cross has a "Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics" design theme that uses "distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body." No offense, Suzuki, but we've heard that before.

Suzuki previews Crosshiker, X-Lander, Hustler ahead of Tokyo

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

With the Tokyo Motor Show looming on the horizon, Suzuki has revealed a trio of concept cars it will present at the expo.
First up is the Crosshiker concept, a compact crossover that looks good enough in metallic red, but in its essence reminds us of the oft-maligned X-90 convertible crossover coupe. Based on the G70/Regina concept, the Crosshiker packs a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine into a compact form that weighs just 1,785 pounds.
Next comes the X-Lander, which strikes us as a smaller take on the formula espoused by the Isuzu VX-02 or Land Rover DC100 Sport concepts. Unfortunately based on the Jimny, the white X-Lander incorporates a 1.3-liter engine with a robotized manual and four-wheel drive into a high-riding, chopped-windshield convertible sport-ute form.

Suzuki recalling 2,800 XL7 models over faulty fuel pump

Sat, 29 Dec 2012

A recall has been issued for the 2007 Suzuki XL7, but only those vehicles either bought or registered in four states: Texas, Arizona, California and Nevada. Potentially 2,380 of the SUVs manufactured from June 13, 2006 to December 22, 2006 could have an issue with their fuel pump modules: The plastic supply or return port could crack. If that happens, it could lead to a fuel leak and then to a fire.
Suzuki hasn't said when the recall will begin. Once it does, owners will be notified and can have their dealers make the necessary repairs free of charge. There's a bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with more information.
