I have an excellent 1987 Suzuki Samurai JX hardtop for sale. It has a clean title and zero rust. I installed a engine out of a 1997 Geo Tracker, 1600 16 valve, with less than 60K on the engine. Along with the bigger engine I added power steering, headers, Magnaflow exhaust, Centerforce clutch, Trail Tough wiring harness, & Trail Tough engine/tranny adapter kit. It has Subaru seats, ABS door panels, front and rear Rocky Road bumpers with receivers, winch and high lift jack. I installed the 4.5" wide fender flares. The transmission and transfer case (6.4:1 trail tough RockMonster kit). Both rebuilt with less than 2K. It has Lockrites front and rear along with skidplate and truss for transfer case. It has a Old Man Emu axle over lift kit with custom spring work. Rides and handles excellent. New 30 x 9.50 x 15 BFG mud terrain tires, diamond plate armor on corners and custom roof rack. Pioneer stereo with remove-able sunroof that has been glued shut, but could be functional. It has Hella headlamps and driving lights. It has an Optima battery and a new starter. It also comes with a tow bar and works perfect behind any pickup or RV. ETC. ETC....

Suzuki sallies forth with new C-segment crossover with fishy S-Cross Concept
Thu, 27 Sep 2012It's not what we'd call attractive, really, but at least the new S-Cross Concept is something fresh from Suzuki. Introduced to the world at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, Suzuki says the pale green machine previews its upcoming production C-segment crossover.
We hope some of its fishier elements - according to Suzie, the specially created Crystal Green Metallic body color evokes "nature in the city and the city in nature", whatever that means - remain in the conceptual pond, but either way, it's good to see that the Japanese automaker hasn't lost its will to compete in a heated segment of the market. In fact, Suzuki promises that the S-Cross "will be the first in an ambitious program of annual European model launches which Suzuki will be starting in 2013. "
What are the chances we'll see a production version of this crossover concept in the U.S.? Your Magic 8 Ball is as good as ours... In any case, feel free to peruse the press release below.
Suzuki has to take out $45M loan just to shutter US dealers
Thu, 08 Nov 2012Bloomberg reports American Suzuki is set to borrow up to $45 million to to close its automotive dealerships and freshen up its it motorcycle and marine business. Suzuki Motor Corporation will loan American Suzuki the funds at three percent below the London Interbank offered rate in order to offer dealer owners a cash payment in exchange for voluntarily abandoning franchise agreements. The company's 216 dealers have 10 days to make a decision on the matter. Under the plan, Suzuki would give dealer owners half of what they're owed in one lump sum, and the dealers would then be able to pursue the remaining debt through the company's bankruptcy procedure.
U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Scott C. Clarkson granted American Suzuki interim authority to borrow the funds, but Bloomberg reports the company will likely return to court in a few weeks to seek up to $100 million. According to Richard Pachulski, a lawyer for Suzuki America, the automaker may owe its dealers somewhere around $50 million.
Suzuki previews new S-Cross compact CUV ahead of Paris debut
Fri, 10 Aug 2012Despite having one heck of a lackluster presence here in the United States, Suzuki still manages to do well in other markets. That in mind, the automaker continually releases new products and concept cars at international auto shows that aren't destined for U.S. consumption, but this might not be one of those times.
The aging SX4 crossover is in need of replacement, and if Suzuki is still committed to selling passenger cars in the States, something fresh like this S-Cross concept could be just the ticket. Suzuki has, after all, confirmed that the S-Cross will eventually make its way into production.
We have no other details to divulge about the S-Cross, except that it's a small crossover concept and that it will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. Suzuki says that the S-Cross has a "Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics" design theme that uses "distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body." No offense, Suzuki, but we've heard that before.
