I am selling one of my favorite calls of all time.  I love this Subaru but need to move into an Outback for more room for the family.  I am a Subaru lover and take really great car of my cars. This subbie with only 92k miles is just getting broke in.  I had one that wen 250k and still had life left.  I am sad but this is a great car, with many NEW items and just a few negatives.  Here they are:
Negatives:
-The driver seat has some snags in the covering.  Just wearing age.  Seats just need a good cleaning from 3 kids.  A very easy fix.
-There are some scuffs on bumper.  Simply cosmetic.
-Pain overall is great just some small marks.  Simply cosmetic
Positives:
-NEW HEAD GASKETS
-NEW TIMING BELT
-NEW WATER PUMP
-NEW FRONT BRAKES AND ROTORS
-4 BRAND NEW Bridgestone Ecopia tires (increases gas mileage!)
-All wheel drive
-Power everything
-Keyless entry
-AC
-CC
-All weather radio scanner built in
-CD
-Hitch for towing
-Automatic with all fluids up to date

Again-I love this car and believe it is has so many years left in her.  She is up to date and actually ahead of the maintenance plan already having the 110k mile stuff completed and with new tires-this care is easily over 10500 anywhere else.  The price may be beat with somewhere else with like 120k miles but remember this-HEAD GASKETS will need replaced and water pump and timing belt as well--this one is DONE-ready to go.  Good luck and let me know.  thanks for looking.

Motor Trend pits Subaru WRX vs. Ford Focus ST

Thu, 23 Jan 2014

The Ford Focus ST has enjoyed a relatively calm, if brief, reign in the world of hot hatches. With nothing else in the class (in the States, at least) but the aging Mazdaspeed3 and Subaru Impreza WRX and the slow-selling Volkswagen Golf R, the Blue Oval's 252-horsepower five door has been the go-to vehicle for those that don't need the high-octane lunacy (and expense) of the rally bred Subaru Impreza WRX STI and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X.
Now, though, as the new Subaru WRX (it's not an Impreza anymore, though, neither is it a hatchback...) starts to arrive at dealers, the Focus ST appears to be under threat for the first time. Naturally, Motor Trend is here to figure out which one is the best, with another one of its Head 2 Head videos. Host Jonny Lieberman puts both cars through their paces, going above and beyond, quite literally, at the very end of the video.
Have a look below and let us know what you think of MT's verdict in Comments.

Climb to the Clouds returning thanks to Subaru title sponsorship [w/video]

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, otherwise known as the Climb to the Clouds, hasn't been done since 2011. That year, Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins set a new record for the event first held in 1904, running the 7.6-mile vertiginous course in 6:11.54. The race will be return in 2014 with the help of that very carmaker, Subaru of America having stepped in to the title sponsor role for what will be the Subaru Mt. Washington Hillclimb.
Taking place from June 26-29, 75 modern and vintage cars will spend three days racing up the 6,288-foot-high mountain. It's not as long nor as high as Pikes Peak, but it does have something that the Colorado competition doesn't: gravel; about 13 percent of the Mt. Washington Carriage Road still hasn't been paved.
If you want to know what a record-breaking run up the northeast's highest peak looks like, check out Higgins behind the wheel in the video below.

2015 Subaru Outback

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Realistically, many enthusiasts give horrible, horrible car buying advice. They will recommend something bizarre, inappropriately high performance, compromised or utterly impractical for a given consumer's needs, and they'll almost never recommend something that makes sense. And then they'll come up with 3.7 million reasons why the leading vehicle someone is thinking about is a bad choice.
Or maybe that's just what I do.
Regardless, if you poke, prod, bother or just get us drunk enough, eventually you'll begin getting honest feedback. And more than likely, we'll tell you, in hushed tones, about the many virtues of very, very boring cars. We'll talk about why the Toyota Camry is actually a pretty decent purchase or we'll explain how spacious and feature laden the Nissan Versa is.
