Original Owner (still have window sticker).  3.5L V6, 250 hp, 5-speed automatic transmission, Factory gas mileage, 18/24, which I have found to be accurate
Options:  Redline Package ($1,995), 18” factory alloy rims.  245 50R 18, (I put on Dunlop M3, excellent in snow and rain),
Sport tuned suspension, Leather steering wheel and shifter, Stainless steel exhaust, Aero body panels, Optional Side Airbags, Factory Pinstripe, Optional Factory Floor mats, I just replaced front rotors,.  Last year front pads, front struts, and front wheel bearings were replaced.  PA state inspection is good through 10/2013.  Vehicle will need 2 new tires for next state inspection.  Body has paint chips at various locations, and there is peeling on pillars at windshield, ABS light is on, driver seat vinyl is cracked, front end has occasional chatter over bumps.  Transmission shifts fine without any issue.  Headliner, dashboard, and all other interior in good condition with no rips or tears. Mileage is high at 207K, highway miles, but truck shows no signs of slowing down.  Vehicle never been smoked in and has mostly been garage-kept.  Synthetic oil used and changed religiously.  Very reliable, has never left me stranded.  No fluid leaks.…ever.  Vehicle is also being offered for sale locally, so auction could end early.  I do recommend viewing and test driving the vehicle prior to purchasing.  Thanks for looking.

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.

Car thief lands Saturn on Fresno roof

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

Residents of a Fresno, California apartment building recently awoke to debris falling from their ceiling after a car thief managed to execute a perfect parking job on the structure's roof. Police say 26-year-old Benjamin Tucker stole the Saturn sedan from a nearby house before striking either a curb or some rocks, vaulting the vehicle into the air and onto the roof. After seeing his predicament, Tucker leapt from the roof and fled the scene. Or at least he tried to. Tucker broke his leg in the fall and only made it around a quarter of a mile from the crash when police picked him up.
No one else was harmed in the stunt.
Tucker had two outstanding warrants for his arrest at the time for a hit-and-run and evading police. A special crane had to be called in to remove the Saturn from the apartment roof and the structure will indeed require repairs. Hit the jump for a news report on the incident.

Recalled Saturn Ion facing separate federal safety probe

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

General Motors may be staring down another recall campaign for one of its models already embroiled in its high-profile ignition recall. The 2003-2007 Saturn Ion is already among the 1.6-million vehicles being recalled for faulty ignition switches, and now new light is being shed on a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation over 2004-2007 models centering on a loss of power steering.
The government safety regulator has received 846 complaints about the problem and claims that GM has had 3,489 reports of failure. Of those cases, there have been 16 accidents and 2 injuries reported, according to Automotive News. While NHTSA has been conducting an investigation since September 2011, no recall has been issued yet.
The inquiry's length was brought to light by an organization called the National Legal and Policy Center that alleges GM and NHTSA have known about the problem but are delaying a recall. It has sent a letter to CEO Mary Barra asking "to recall Saturn Ions for the model years 2004 through 2007 without further delay." The letter in question is available in full on the group's website.
