I'm selling my 1987 Saab 900S, which has been in the family for around fifteen years. We purchased the Saab with only 32,000 original miles and today I'm selling it with only 93,000 The Saab is a four cylinder, front wheel drive, five speed dependable car. Listed below are the following parts that have been replaced on the car while I have owned it.
• Headliner
• Front Right axle
• Front right Bearing
• Fuel pump
• Both front Calipers and brakes
• Right ball joint
• A/C hoses and compressor
• New Clutch
• Stainless steel exhaust
• New spark plugs / and Coil

The reason I am selling my Saab is because the fact I needed to up grade to a four door vehicle, and no longer have a need for a two door hatchback. Now here is some of the issue with the Saab, a couple years ago a deer jumped off the road bank and landed on the car. Because of this I had to replace the hood, passenger door, plus there is still a small dent in the right fender. The hood and door were replaced off different color cars so I sanded them down and painted them with gray primer. This accident was never report or turned in on insurance, so as fair as I know the car and title are clean.  There is some surface rust which also can be seen on my pictures, but underneath the car is very clean. The car is equipped with Hancook tires, which work great in rain and snow. Also this car come with, A/C (which needs to be charged), CD Player, power driver side mirror, cruise control, power locks, power windows (currently the drive side window does not work), sun roof, and rear window vent shade. This is my first attempt at selling anything on ebay, so if you have any questions about the car here is my phone number 304-614-7779

NEVS announces 200 layoffs as it says Saab restart will 'take time'

Fri, 26 Sep 2014

For a fleeting moment a few weeks ago, the news from Saab-owner National Electric Vehicle Sweden appeared almost positive. The company had its reorganization plan approved (a day after it was denied), and the automaker was actually showing a real, running vehicle, albeit one with a top speed of 75 miles per hour. But those tiny crumbs of potential goodness have been swept away because NEVS has announced layoffs of as many as 200 factory employees in September "due to lack of work."
Workers probably shouldn't get too eager to return to the factory either, because company's "decision to re-start production will be further delayed" by an unspecified amount of time, NEVS says in a press release. To begin assembling cars again, the company needs to find long-term funding and a new majority owner. Those seem like two very steep hurdles for the embattled automaker to clear.
Despite not producing cars since May, NEVS still claims it's negotiating with a new owner, possibly Mahindra, but according to Reuters, the Swedish company owes about 400 million kronor ($56 million) to creditors. According to its layoff announcement, getting rid of these workers is one step in the business' reorganization plan to be presented on October 8. Scroll down to read its full release.

Court extends Saab reorganization bid until end of November

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

Saab parent company National Electric Vehicle Sweden refuses to go down without a fight. After a recent trip to court, the company is emerging with an extension on its reorganization until November 29. According to Europe Online Magazine, there's also an appointed committee of creditors and union representatives to monitor NEVS' restructuring process.
NEVS still isn't giving up hope of saving itself, and the company claims there are has two potential strategies for getting back on its feet. The main plan is to "finalize the negotiations with the two Asian automotive manufacturers," according to a press release. Those firms still aren't identified, but Mahindra may be involved. According to Europe Online Magazine, one of the businesses is looking to take partial ownership of NEVS, and the other is considering some sort of cooperation with it.
If that plan fails, the second option is to take advantage of the factory and become a contract manufacturer.

Spyker's $3B lawsuit against GM for blocking Saab sale thrown out

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

US District Judge Gershwin Drain has dismissed a $3-billion lawsuit Spyker filed against General Motors. In the suit, Spyker accused GM of attempting to bankrupt Saab after the US automaker had already sold the company to Spyker. GM in effect blocked the sale of Saab to China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile Company by prohibiting the transfer of some of its intellectual property. But the court found that GM had a "contractual right" to approve or disapprove any change of ownership. Furthermore, Reuters reports Judge Drain said the contract between GM and Spyker "is clear, unambiguous and absolute" on the matter.
GM, meanwhile, says it is pleased with the ruling. Spyker CEO Victor Muller has not said whether or not his company will appeal the ruling. The Dutch automaker is expected to make a final decision once the court issues its written order on the case.
You can read the official Spyker press release about the court ruling below for more information.
