Hello, I am selling my Black 2002 Saab Convertible. It's Black leather interior. Turbo Stitching on seats. With 129K. Only reason I'm selling is because I have a New Model Saab Convertible and my wife has a 2003 Saab Convertible. And it's not necessary to have this now. Ok, I take this Car to the Saab Dealership all the time so I know all the issues with it and this is the reason why I'm selling for cheap. Soft Top Does Not Work because the Hose to the left Fifth Bow Piston needs to be replaced. That hose is bad and hydraulic Fluid Leaked Out. I still have Diagnostic Paperwork From dealership to prove this is the reason. Repair Cost Is $200 at Precision Plus Auto Works 4128 East Street Road Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 that specialize in only Saabs. You can get the hose on ebay for cheap. Hose Letter G. And it will need a oxygen Sensor. It will also NEED a Crank Sensor Replaced Very Soon Dealership Says. I found this out by Starting the car one day and taking it for a drive maybe 4 Miles away to the gas station and when i get back into the car to start it up the car didn't start. It didn't crank or turn or anything. All power, lights and A.C worked. But it just didn't turn over. I called A tow truck and by the time the tow truck got to me (20 mins later) the car started up with no issues. And i turned the car off and on with no errors. and was able to drive the car all day without any problems, which was really weird, so i called the dealership and they said it was definitely the crank sensor going bad. Same problem happened to me two other times after that. So it WILL definitely NEED that fixed and you have a good car. So I say if you spend about a good $500 dollars the car will be in Tip Top Shape. The car starts up with no problems now. I am a Saab enthusiast and wants the car to go to someone who will take care of it.

Deal brokered to get Saab warranty service honored at GM dealers
Mon, 24 Dec 2012When Pontiac, Hummer and Saturn were killed off, at least current owners never had to question where they would have to take their vehicle in case it needed to be serviced. The same couldn't be said for Saab owners... until now. General Motors and Saab Automobile Parts North America (the remaining entity of the bankrupted automaker) have signed an agreement that provides 179 service centers to current Saab owners to receive factory-trained technicians and official Saab replacement parts.
These warranty service providers will have all the tools, training and parts to maintain and repair Saab vehicles, and they will also have access to a technical assistance center for the technicians. Next year, SPNA will also set up a customer assistance center, which will likely be most useful in helping current owners find repair shows, as well as a program called Saab Secure to give added service support to owners of late model (2010 and 2011 model year) Saab vehicles. Finally, to make sure customers have a sufficient parts supply to keep their cars on the road, SPNA operates out of a 153,000 square foot warehouse in Michigan that has the ability to ship more than 3,000 parts orders per day.
GM's official press release on the agreement is posted after the jump.
Saab to hire 200 engineers, might build gas cars with Mahindra
Thu, 14 Jun 2012The brand formerly known as Saab is still intent on teaching The Little Engine That Could a few ticks about persistence. We say "formerly known" because it turns out that National Electric Vehicle Swedent (NEVS), the Sino-Japanese investment consortium that just bought the majority of Saab's assets, minus Saab Automobile Parts AB, may not actually own the rights to the Saab brand name. According to a report in Di.se via Saabs United, NEVS will need to negotiate with Scania and the Swedish aerospace and defense group, Saab AB, for the right to name its forthcoming electric car the Saab 9-3.
NEVS is hiring 200 engineers now to work on its electric car program, and reports are that it will hire more as it gets closer to the 2014 launch. It will be based on the current (read: ancient) 9-3, and we hope NEVS is succeeds in getting the naming rights, because the NEVS 9-3 just doesn't have the same ring. NEVS will likely target China as the model's main market.
However, it's rumors of their second negotiating ploy that we're really rooting for: to work with Mahinda & Mahindra, the Indian company once in the running for Saab's assets, develop a petrol-powered 9-3 on the next-generation Phoenix platform, based on Jason Castriota's design.
Saab owner may speed up relaunch with gas-powered 9-3
Wed, 21 Nov 2012National Electric Vehicle Sweden, the new owner of Saab, has good news for you if you happened to miss out on picking up a 9-3 before the company plummeted through bankruptcy. Automotive News Europe reports NEVS may offer a gasoline-powered 9-3 in 2013. That move would effectively step up the brand's re-launch plan by a full year. Originally, the company planned to introduce an electric vehicle in 2014, but NEVS is currently investigating ways to start production next summer using "a 9-3 with a traditional powertrain" in order to generate more cash for the electrification effort.
NEVS purchased Saab earlier this year with the intent of resurrecting the brand with a fully electric product portfolio. The new EVs would theoretically ride on the Saab Phoenix platform and be manufactured at the automaker's plant in Trollhattan, Sweden. The report of a resurrected gasoline model came courtesy of Mikael Oestlund, a company spokesperson familiar with the company's workings.
