Sad I have to get rid of her just found out the Vector trim of this car was only available in 2003 and there was only 2,256 sold in the US! This trim has a stiffer performance-tuned suspension, 1st gen paddle shifters, and a +35hp boost. 2nd Owner. Ive put a lot of love and money into this car for what its worth. I'm only selling it because ill be getting a g35 hand me down. (dont hate me) Mechanically the car is amazing..The cosmetics need a little love. Mobil 1 full synthetic every 3000mi. Stays washed and waxed. Extensive records. You just need to drive this thing. The Good Turbo pulls hard. uninterrupted power everywhere.  Full front suspension redone recently Newer rotors and Akebono performance breaks Expensive performance tires F: 90% Tread R: 75% 6 disc cd changer / AUX Lots of other components replaced, Pumps, Sensors, Etc. email if youre curious.  Decent audio system Really really great handling One of the top safety picks for the year

Very high consumer rating, check out (edmunds.com/saab/9-3/2003/consumer-reviews.html) "I got the car with 92k on it because I was so comfortable with the drive train and it's not disappointed. I'm just below 200k now and put on over 700 miles this weekend." This sport sedan is in the same class and competes with say an audi a4 or bmw 3 series. IMO it looks a lot better than both cars. The not so Bad (because, still operational.)  Front aero lip cracked and beat up, needs replaced. Then i spray painted it. Looks like shi^  Plastics on shifter knob loose  Bottom plastics near fog lights are broken.  1 Rim is curbed bad, just surface scratches. To be honest Nothing is wrong with the car. Shes aging beautifully and really ready for the long haul. I feel like this is more than a fair price so don't bother lowballing me. I have over $4000 in receipts to prove it. All the work was done only by the best at Sweedish Car Clinic.

NEVS completes Saab purchase, earns right to brand name but not griffin badge

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

According to the Associated Press, a Hong Kong-based concern is close to building new Saab models. After some delays, National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has completed the purchase of bankrupt Swedish automaker Saab.
NEVS says it plans to debut an electric vehicle in about 18 months. When the car comes to market, it will wear the Saab name, but not the marque's well-known griffin logo. Reuters reports that the company will produce EVs based on the Saab 9-3 platform, with intentions to sell these vehicles primarily in the Chinese market. Due to the continued use of the distinctive griffin head logo by commercial truckmaker Scania and the Saab aerospace group, NEVS was only granted access to the Saab name, not its emblem.

GM SUV window switch recall urges owners to park vehicles outside

Thu, 07 Aug 2014

It's not unusual for there to be a lag between an automaker announcing a recall and the official documentation showing up on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website. So it's no surprise that a recent GM campaign took about a month to appear in its official capacity. However, there appears to be some big differences between the two reports with potential safety implications.
In late June, GM announced that it needed to recall 181,984 examples of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7x from the 2005-2007 model years, plus the 2006 Chevy Trailblazer EXT and 2006 GMC Envoy XL. The new documents paint a slightly different picture with 184,611 needing repaired and different model years listed.
The reason for the fix is still the same, though. It's possible for fluid to contact the master power window switch module in the driver's door, which can corrode the part. Eventually this could cause a short circuit, leaving the buttons inoperable and potentially leading to a fire. But the new NHTSA documents add an important note: "A fire could occur even while the vehicle is not in use. As a precaution, owners are advised to park outside until the remedy has been made."

GM recalls over 230,000 more Trailblazer-family SUVs over door electronics

Sun, 16 Jun 2013

Back in August, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced a recall on the General Motors GMT360 SUVs (Buick Rainier, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X) ranging from the 2005 to 2007 model years and the 2006 GMT370 SUVs (Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT and GMC Envoy XL) due to potential fires associated with the driver's door module. Initially limited to 250,000 units sold or registered in 20 Snow Belt states (and the District of Columbia), the recall has now been expanded to include an additional 193,000 of these SUVs in the US and, according to The Detroit News, 40,000 more sold outside the US, including Canada and Mexico.
Like the original recall, the issue is still a faulty driver's door module that can short out, which could lead to a fire. The Detroit News is reporting that, out of the 443,000 units being recalled, GM says that there were 58 fires that caused 11 minor injuries, and the expanded recall accounted for six fires and one injury. Despite the lower number of fires, the recall notice recommends that owners park their vehicles until the recall repairs has been performed.
On recalled units with functional modules, the repair consists of a protective coating being applied to the module, while vehicles with modules that are not working properly will have the driver's door module replaced. The official recall notice is posted below, and it includes contact information for customers of all five brands.
