2002 Saab 9-3 Hatchback Only 90k Miles!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Bridgewater, Massachusetts, United States
Up for sale this week is my 2002 Saab 9-3 Turbo with only 90k miles.... This car is ready to go with no major issues. I will break down and list by categorie and opinion below. *again, this is solely my opinion as the owner, i am not a mechanic. I full encourage anyone and everyone to come and inspect the vehicle by any means. Exterior: This is the royal blue color. The paint is not perfect by any means... I would rate it a 5 out of 10. It deffinately has its share of Dings and dents, most of them i tryed to show you in the pics. There are alot of TREE SAP markings on the car. It could deffinately use a Nice Detail with buff and wax. there is Zero RUST on the car. Interior: This has the nice sleek black leather interior and is in overall good condition. I would rate it a 8 out of 10. All buttons and features work on the car, including the sunroof. There are some stains on the back rear seats and the carpets could use a shampoo. The radio, heat and ac all work (allthough the antenna is broken so the radio signal is weak) The dash and LED are all good, the drivers right arm rest is a lil loose and the drivers seat switch control is loose as well. There are no cracks or rips. the rear cargo area is clean and comes with original jack and spare as well as netting. Engine: This is the 4 cyl. turbo engine. Not much to say about it... i just put a battery in last month. The oil is good, there is no sounds,or any leaks of fluid. the engine has 90,942 original miles. The transmission shifts perfectly! The car still has a Valid Mass inspection sticker good until the end of next month. Rims & Tires: The tires are in great shape, all 4 match and all 4 still have about 80% tread left. Rims are pretty good as well. some very very slight scratches on them but i would rate it a 9 out of 10. Again, they should be detailed to take off more of the brake dust. Exhaust: There is a slight exhaust leak at the Rear of the Muffler. I believe a clamp is broken. (but i am not a mechanic) It just started to get slightly loud last week. Again, its really not that bad i just wanted to inform you of all the imperfections. My name is jay, The car is Located in 02333. (about 25 mins South of BOSTON) I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to come take a look at the car, start it up, look around, drive it, etc... I am not a mechanic and the above statements are only my honest opinion. I will not be held responsible for items above not described correctly or any items i missed by accident. There are companys out there that will come look at a car (for a fee). Please, as a buyer, do your dillegence. There is not exsisting warranty or implied warranty. You are buying a used car. Payment: I require an immediate paypal depost of 500$. You then have 3 days to pay the remaining balance, either by paypal or cash in hand apon pick up. You then have 7 days from end of auction to remove the car from my property. NO exceptions!!! If car is not picked up in 7 days, buyer will forfeit any moneys (deposit or other) and i will Re List the car. *If you have any questions please ask Before Car ends, not after! i will not be held responsible if you do not ask the proper questions. I have stated all i know about the car above. I have 100% pos feedback and have been on ebay for 10 Years! bid with confidence. |

NEVS to build new Saab models in China's Qingdao
Thu, 10 Jan 2013National Electric Vehicle Sweden has officially signed a deal with Qingdao Qingbo Investment Company that will see the NEVS build EVs in Qingdao, China. The move is the first step on the road toward eventually selling vehicles in China. Reuters reports that the Chinese company has agreed to invest $307.33 million, after which point Qingdao Qingbo will receive 22 percent of the NEVS shares. Currently, there's no word on exactly when the funds and shares will change hands, but the Swedish automaker has previously said it fully intends to launch its first EV by early 2014.
NEVS has also made waves about potentially building a version of the old Saab 9-3 with a traditional internal combustion driveline. Currently, the manufacturer says it plans to ship the vehicles it builds in Sweden to the Qingdao port and distribute them to the rest of China from there. Later down the line, a manufacturing facility in Qingdao will supply the country with Chinese-built Saab models.
Saab owners NEVS denied creditor protection by Swedish court
Thu, 28 Aug 2014The story of Saab is practically a Greek tragedy at this point. The quirky Swedish automaker that was once known as a pioneer of affordable turbocharging has been followed by years of news that just seemed to keep getting worse. At this point, maybe the brand name should be allowed to fade away into the ether and be remembered for the good times that it gave us.
Saab's latest predicament is that its parent National Electric Vehicle Sweden (or NEVS) has been denied protection from its creditors by the Swedish courts. According to Reuters, the judges called the business' financing plan "vague and completely undocumented." A company spokesperson told Reuters that it plans to appeal.
Seemingly in reaction to the court's decision, NEVS posted a press release on its website announcing that the company had applied "for a reorganization to create more time for the ongoing negotiations." The automaker continues to claim that it's negotiating with two global automakers to sell a portion of the company, possibly Mahindra, but the process is taking longer than it originally predicted. It seems a distinct possibility that this reorganization attempt is simply a way to buy extra time.
Saab to hire 200 engineers, might build gas cars with Mahindra
Thu, 14 Jun 2012The brand formerly known as Saab is still intent on teaching The Little Engine That Could a few ticks about persistence. We say "formerly known" because it turns out that National Electric Vehicle Swedent (NEVS), the Sino-Japanese investment consortium that just bought the majority of Saab's assets, minus Saab Automobile Parts AB, may not actually own the rights to the Saab brand name. According to a report in Di.se via Saabs United, NEVS will need to negotiate with Scania and the Swedish aerospace and defense group, Saab AB, for the right to name its forthcoming electric car the Saab 9-3.
NEVS is hiring 200 engineers now to work on its electric car program, and reports are that it will hire more as it gets closer to the 2014 launch. It will be based on the current (read: ancient) 9-3, and we hope NEVS is succeeds in getting the naming rights, because the NEVS 9-3 just doesn't have the same ring. NEVS will likely target China as the model's main market.
However, it's rumors of their second negotiating ploy that we're really rooting for: to work with Mahinda & Mahindra, the Indian company once in the running for Saab's assets, develop a petrol-powered 9-3 on the next-generation Phoenix platform, based on Jason Castriota's design.
