2012 Ram 3500 Laramie Mega Cab 6.7l Dually 4x4 Very Clean on 2040-cars
Bradenton, Florida, United States
I am selling my 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie Mega Cab 4x4 Dually. This truck is in the up most immaculate condition. The truck currently has 10,500 miles and a manufacturer powertrain warranty from Chrysler for 100,000 miles or 5 years.
High Output Cummins Engine along with Max Towing Package which consists of a 4.10 rear axle ratio and dual transmission coolers. This Ram is in pristine showroom condition and still has that new truck smell. The front and rear bumpers have been sandblasted and powdercoated gloss black to match the factory paint. The grille has been painted gloss black to match the factory paint. The bed has had a 30k Drawtite Gooseneck Hitch and Adapter Harness installed and been sprayed with Line-X bedliner then painted in a black kevlar paint to resist sun damage. I have also replaced the factory fuel tank with a Titan 52 Gallon High Capacity Fuel Tank. This truck is perfect for the weekend warrior or someone that does a lot of heavy towing. I paid cash for the truck so I do have a clean and clear title in hand. |

2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel gets 9,200-pound tow rating
Fri, 26 Jul 2013The current-generation Ram 1500 is entering its fifth year on the market, but Ram's half-ton truck is not showing its age whatsoever. While we continue to wait for the fuel economy figures for the all-new EcoDiesel V6, Ram has released towing figures for trucks equipped with this new engine, as well as models fitted with the upgraded gasoline-powered V6.
The EcoDiesel - a $2,850 option - will help the Ram compete with V8-powered trucks with its max towing capacity of 9,200 pounds, which is just 50 pounds shy of the 2013 Ram 1500 with the 5.7-liter V8. The true benefit here is that the diesel should return impressive fuel economy in the process, and even though official estimates have yet to be released, Chrysler has promised that it will achieve more than 25 miles per gallon on the highway.
But even with the Pentastar 3.6-liter V6, upgrades to the eight-speed automatic transmission have resulted in an increase in towing capacity, now up to 7,450 pounds. This number is expected to be best in class for base-engine trucks.
Chrysler's internal documents question Ram quality as workers protest
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Chrysler is reportedly having a hard time ramping up production of its 2013 Ram 1500. According to The Detroit News, only 16 of the 58 trucks built at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant during the model's first hour passed final inspection. While quality eventually improved over the course of the day, just over half of the units built on Thursday were approved for shipment. Even with workers ordered to stay late to fix their mistakes, some 1,078 units remained outside the facility with defects. The problem, according to workers at the plant, is morale.
According to the report, Chrysler recently changed the shift schedule at the plant and workers are unhappy with the new situation. The new plan has workers split into three shifts, each covering four 10-hour days. With the shifts staggered, some workers now have to work nights and on Saturdays. Some employees are so upset that they've taken to protesting, though the move isn't sanctioned by the United Auto Workers.
Meanwhile, Chrysler admits there were internal issues with the launch, but that the company was able to contain them. A spokesperson has said "plant quality indicators are getting progressively better."
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
