Porsche Cayman 987.2 on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
You are looking at a beautiful 987.2 Porsche Cayman. I am the 2nd owner,I got it with about 10k miles on it. It is my 2nd vehicle it really only used on the Weekends mostly highway miles. This car has some history it has been driven to Spring Raceway for the 12 hour and Daytona for the 24 hour. It has been at the 90 mile marker to Cuba. It has never seen the track. Aftermarket parts include Porsche Short Shifter,(my favorite upgrade) Fabspeed 2nd Stage Cold Air Intake (Beautiful Sound), Clear Engine Cover with a little work. The stock engine cover/carpet comes with the car. Also installed Chrome Dual Exhaust Tips, stock tips come with the car. All and all it is 9/10 with little wear. I change the oil myself every 5k miles. All other service and work has been done at the Collection in Miami. Has new clutch and Shifter cable installed around 40k miles. Parts are under 2 year warranty. It was backed up into in a parking lot and front bumper and fender had to be replaced. jonathanmitter@gmail.com

Watch this Koenigsegg CCX hit 211 mph on a runway, outpacing McLaren's P1
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos.
A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. You can watch the EVO video below, GT Spirit has a bigger breakdown of the day, and we've included another vid showing the tandem launch of the CCX and McLaren F1.
Mercedes-AMG GT vs. Porsche 911 [w/poll]
Thu, 11 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz designed the AMG GT to compete head-on with the Porsche 911. It's a clear, singular purpose, and Benz brings a lot of money, technology and race-bred expertise to the fight.
The AMG GT is Merc's followup to the awesome SLS AMG, the retro-modern, gullwing-doored coupe that took us by storm half a decade ago. But this new GT coupe is a more focused sports car than the SLS, rather than an all out supercar capable of extreme performance. It's got a brand-new V8 engine, and state-of-the-art technology that help it to not only be a proper Mercedes, but to be a serious performer.
Mercedes will sell its new baby in two models. The GT S arrives first, in spring 2015, followed by the standard GT in mid-2016. Of course, there's room to grow from there. And while Porsche may have already expanded its 911 range to include a vast variety of models, here's how Stuttgart's icon stacks up against Affalterbach's bad boy.
EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.
You'll find the verdicts, lots of tire smoke, and lines like "Anything you can do sideways I can do sideways" in the video below.
