2006 Porsche Cayman S, Currently set up for PCA H Stock (with  PCA logbook) but could easily run SCCA I Prepared, ITC, SCCA, NASA or even Grand Am with minor changes. Or super fast  yet easy to driveTack Day car.

We began this project with a perfect Porsche certified pre owned 2006 Cayman S that had been female owned and had a VERY easy early life(car is technically still a CPO car), only race damage has been a broken bumper cover and headlight 3 races ago, interior was removed and car was sent to well known Robinson Racing in GA  for custom cage, lowered driver seat sub-frame, custom bolt in passenger seat mount, window net etc. Car has a ton of room inside and easily acomodates our 6’2” 200lbs driver. Car has 4 podium finishes in 2013 with PCA club racing (wins at RRR and Road ATL, 2nd at COTA and 2nd at RRR with rookie driver). Only selling because have moved up to a 997 "Cup" and dont have room or time to race multiple cars.

Car was built by Porsche of Hilton Head SC, and Vertical Motorsports with all recent work, maintenance and track support by Autometrics.

Below is a partial list of equipment on the car, Car is ready to race with no excuses and we are happy to answer any questions.

Robb Report chooses Porsche 911 as its Car of the Year

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

Robb Report has picked the seventh-generation Porsche 911 Carrera S as its 2013 Car of the Year, saying the two-door captivated its judges with "agility, driving dynamics and balance." The German coupe bested 12 others who were also in the running - the impressive list of nominees included the BMW M5, Audi S8, Ferrari FF, Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG and the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse.
Judging involved more than just throwing darts at pictures on the wall, as the publication enlisted a panel of automotive experts to test drive each vehicle for close evaluation. The panelists included 100 members of the Robb Report Club (comprised of top corporate executives and influential readers), Editor-in-Chief Brett Anderson and automotive consultant Robert Ross. Full results of the competition will be revealed in the luxury magazine's March issue, hitting newsstands in about a week. For more information, visit Robb Report online or check out the full press release from Porsche below.

Porsche Macan to get four-cylinder engines

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Porsche hasn't offered a four-cylinder engine since the 968 went out of production in 1995 - the better part of two decades ago. There'd been talk of a four-pot Boxster or an even smaller model to slot in below it, but while the latest intel indicates that Porsche is moving ahead with its four-cylinder plans, it's a different kind of vehicle that will get it first.
That, of course, would be the new Macan. Just revealed a few weeks ago at the LA Auto Show, the Macan crossover is being launched with a pair of twin-turbocharged V6 engines (a 3.0 with 340 horsepower and a 3.6 with 400 hp) and a six-cylinder turbodiesel with 258 hp. But smaller engines, according to emerging reports from Autocar and Auto Express, are on their way.
Word has it that Porsche is preparing a 2.0-liter turbo four with 280 horsepower and a diesel with the same displacement and cylinder count, engines that will power new entry-level Macan models that will slot in beneath the existing Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. While the diesel is tipped to be ported over from the Volkswagen parts bin, the four-cylinder gasoline engine is said to be under development by Porsche itself, which could mean it will have a boxer layout.

Porsche 918 Spyder officially priced from $845K, Weissach package $84K more

Wed, 23 Jan 2013

Porsche has released official pricing for its entire lineup of 2013 models, which just happens to include the upcoming 918 Spyder hybrid supercar. The 795-horsepower advanced-technology-lab-on-wheels is now officially confirmed to have a starting price of $845,000 in the US, which is the exact amount we were told earlier when we had the opportunity to ride shotgun in some 918 Spyder pre-production test vehicles.
What we didn't know at the time was the cost of the Weissach trim package, which is a high-performance upgrade to the standard vehicle that includes the deletion of some interior amenities and addition of lighter-weight carbon fiber appointments, magnesium wheels, flame-resistant upholstery, racing belts and aerodynamic aids - it's meant for track-going folk who intend to use their 918 Spyders as God, country and manufacturer intended.
All told, the Weissach package should drop the 918 Spyder's curb weight by some 80 pounds, while also lightening your wallet of an additional $84,000 - the car's MSRP with the Weissach package is $929,000. These prices don't, however, include destination charges, which, for something like the very limited edition 918 Spyder (only 918 will be made), could very well cost considerably more than your average Porsche.
