2005 Porsche Carrera Gt Base Convertible 2-door 5.7l on 2040-cars

Year:2005 Mileage:1780
Location:

Quincy, Massachusetts, United States

Quincy, Massachusetts, United States

Here is this car again, Due to non-payment, I am resisting it here, so those who think they missed it at first place, now it's your chance.
If u search for "Carrera GT" then i guess i do not need to tell you what it is. lol
Car is damaged during Hurricane "Sandy" in NY area. So Salt water damage and get sub-merged in previous owner's garage. Insurance paid about $445k for it, and i get it from Co-part.
Was too busy to finish this project, but hopefully someone have passion for Porsche will finish the job.

The Good: carbon frame, carbon body all in like-new condition(3m wrapped the whole car). It's a carbon/aluminum/ceramic car, so there is no rust. And last time a potential buyer did the inspection the car will light up when hook up with a battery and gauge and some light r working.
The Bad: Engine Seized, electric not working at all, Key that comes with the car from Auction is not working, steering lock is broken, under-body CF panel have some damage due to the auction yard pays no respect for such prestige car. Cracked windshield, and there is no roof comes with it.

Like I said before, this project is not for those people have a lot of money just want to buy a exotic cars to drive. (u can buy anything with money, go buy a used one or something else, because to fix up this car will cost u a lot, not only money but time).
This is for someone that's a true Porsche enthusiast that's wealthy and don't mind get hands dirty or willing to accept a challenge.

Car is in MA and serious buyer is welcome to do inspection. Price is pretty firm because to be honest i do not have any pressure to sell this car, i can enjoy leave it in my garage and just look at it, so if starting price is too high for you, please do not message me, time is money.
thanks and good luck!

Porsche again staring down another $1.8B in hedge fund lawsuits

Wed, 15 May 2013

The sequence of events from 2007 that began with Porsche's secret attempt to take over Volkswagen, and instead lead to Porsche being taken over by VW, continues to instigate lawsuits against the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer. A group of hedge funds that suffered over $1 billion in losses sued the car company in New York. Porsche had publicly stated it wasn't trying to buy VW, the hedge funds in question were shorting VW stock, and when Porsche's actual intentions were revealed, the stock shot up and the hedge funds took a beating.
The case was thrown out over the issue of jurisdiction, then appealed, only to see another suit filed on top of that. After that, most of the hedge funds withdrew their claims in New York and Porsche offered a 90-day window to refile in Germany where it is already fighting a number of other suits over the same issue. The hedge funds accepted the offer, refiling in Stuttgart for $1.8 billion in damages. According to Bloomberg, Porsche hasn't commented on the refiling, but as the same plaintiffs are involved, it's safe to assume that the carmaker still feels the case is "unsubstantiated and without merit." It has fared alright so far even in German courts, with two lesser cases against it thrown out last year.

50th Anniversary Porsche 911 vs. Jaguar F-Type Coupe is a battle of beauty, brawn

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

There can't really be a loser between the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R and the Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition. One might be better than the other, but if you're behind the wheel of either of them, you can't complain. In a new video, Motor Trend takes on the difficult task of determining which one of these European powerhouses is the best, not just in terms of raw performance, but also how they actually feel to drive.
The Porsche 911 is one of the perennial favorites of the motoring world. It just doesn't go away and always seems capable of challenging the top vehicles in its class. In this video, Motor Trend takes a look at the 50th Anniversary Edition model that celebrates that heritage while boosting power somewhat over the standard version.
The F-Type Coupe is an incredibly masculine car, MT describing it as "a British Corvette." The coupe's exterior lines are tautly stretched over its athletic body, and it's supercharged 5.0-liter V8 sounds like a demon's growl. Jaguar seems to have things right with its latest sports car.

Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.
