2005 Porsche Boxster With $4000 19" Aluminum Wheels + Extra Oem S Wheels & Tires on 2040-cars

I bought this car from a Porsche Club of America member (30 Years!) in 2010 with 77,430k Miles and it now, almost 4 years later only has 79k miles! I drove it LESS than 2,000 miles since 2010. As you can see, the car is exceptionally clean. The front bumper was repainted by Porsche (for $1700) to make them look brand new because there were small stone chips from the highway. That is the only paintwork that has ever been done on the car, guaranteed. I have the original window sticker, two remote keys, and all of the books. The current mileage is 79k+. It had new front rotors and pads put in at 55K miles. I recently put $3500 into replacing the control system for the convertible top, and the waterproofing system for it in January 2012 at Porsche of Sarasota because it leaked after going through a car wash. I also put $2100 into replacing the OEM CD Player & Stereo System in March 2012 at The Collection Porsche in Miami because the LCD screen wouldn't work. I also replaced the rear bumper in January 2012 at Porsche of Sarasota because someone scratched it in a parking lot. I obviously have spent far more on this car than I got out of the 2,000 miles I drove. Someone is getting a ridiculous deal out of this sale! OEM upgrades: Upgraded Bose sound system OEM Porsche windstop OEM Porsche lockable car cover OEM Upgraded Porsche floor mats OEM Upgraded automatic climate control OEM Upgraded Boxster S Wheels OEM Upgraded Porsche Painted Center Caps The car currently has $4000 wheels & tires on it. I also have the original OEM (Upgraded) Boxster "S" 18 inch wheels with the upgraded painted center caps, including 100% BRAND NEW Hankook tires pre-mounted on them. These wheels & tires are an additional $1800.00. The tires alone were $1156 You're getting an extra complete set of wheels and tires for FREE plus the $4000 19" aluminum wheels and tires with this sale...simply pay for the car and you get all of it. There is a small scratch on the driver's door and there is also a very small ding on the driver's door behind the door handle. One of the dashboard climate controls has the black color rubbing off, which happens with all Porsches built in the mid-2000's (All 3 that I've owned had this issue). I am not aware of any other defects. The ding and scratch are clearly shown in the last 2 photos. I am in Miami Beach, and the buyer will need to pick the car up here. If you pick the car up using a transport service, they will obviously have to also pick up the extra set of wheels and tires somehow for you, as I can't help you ship them. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS DEAL, I JUST PUT $7000 INTO THIS CAR IN THE PAST YEAR, BUT MY LOSS WILL BE YOUR GAIN. SADLY, I NEED AN SUV AND THIS VEHICLE ISN'T PRACTICAL FOR MY USE. CARFAX REPORT: |

See what the Chevy C7 ZR1 may be benchmarked against
Tue, 07 May 2013One of the greatest things every Corvette has had going for it, and also one of the most re-used arguments against it, is its price-to-performance equation - long before the Nissan GT-R became the de facto Porsche 911 comparator the Corvette spent decades as Exhibit A. Depending on which side of the argument you stressed, supporters crowed about how much performance you got for how (comparatively) little, detractors carped on how little you got everywhere else in the bargain.
It appears Chevrolet is working as hard as ever to render the argument meaningless. Spy shooters at KGP captured a convocation of European birds of prey leaving the General Motors test center, and aimed at benchmarking the C7 Corvette ZR1. The road train comprised of two C7 Corvette Stingrays, a 2013 Corvette ZR1, McLaren MP4-12C, Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi R8 V10 Spyder and Porsche 911 Carrera S and it was last seen heading down the same kinked-up back roads used to hone the Corvette Stingray.
The C7-series ZR1 and its possible 700 horsepower are still a ways off. If it really is being positioned to compete with the celestial exotica in the testing group, could it be the first Corvette to regularly be the first answer to the question "Cost no object, which would would you rather have?"
Audi outlasts rivals to win 13th Le Mans title
Sun, 15 Jun 2014As is so often the case, the 2014 Le Mans was a war of attrition, and Audi managed to prevail once again after all 24 hours had been recorded in the history books, with its Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro claiming first and second places, followed by Toyota in third. Drivers Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluyer inherited the lead in their No. 2 Audi after the No. 7 Toyota, driven by pole-sitter Kazuki Nakajima, was forced to retire with electrical problems in the 15th hour.
The No. 2 Audi led the race until it was forced to the pits to replace a turbocharger in the 17th hour, allowing the No. 1 Audi, driven by Lucas di Grassi, Marc Gene (who was a last-minute replacement for Loic Duval, who crashed hard during practice) and defending champion Tom Kristensen, led the race until the 21st hour, when it too had to pit with turbocharger issues. This gave the No. 20 Porsche of Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley, and Mark Webber the lead until it was forced off the track with gearbox problems, eventually finishing in 38th position.
In LMP2, the Jota Sport Zytek Z11SN-Nissan driven by Simon Dolan, Harry Tincknell and Oliver Turvey claimed victory, the first five LMP2 finishers all powered by Nissan. Down a level in GTE-Pro, No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 driven by Gianmaria Bruni, Toni Vilander and Giancarlo Fisichella finished one lap ahead of the leading Corvette Racing C7.R. And finally, the No. 95 Aston Martin Racing Vantage GTE driven by Kristian Poulsen, David HeinemeierHansson and Nicki Thiim won the GTE-Am race two laps ahead of a Proton Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
Porsche suspends 911 GT3 deliveries amidst fears of spontaneous combustion
Mon, 17 Feb 2014Seeing pictures of Italian supercars burst into flames by the side of the road, as our compatriots at Axis of Oversteer point out, has become something of a usual sight. But a Porsche? Surely those meticulous German engineers have got that taken care of, right?
Not necessarily. Reports coming in from Europe indicate that no fewer than five 911 GT3 coupes have "spontaneously combusted" in the past few weeks, prompting Porsche to launch an investigation. In the meantime, they've reportedly ceased deliveries of the new GT3 while they try to determine what the problem is and work to rectify it.
We wouldn't be surprised to see a recall issued once the problem is resolved, but for now, we'd encourage existing owners to be extra vigilant behind the wheel - or better yet, leave their cars in the garage for the time being. You wouldn't want to drive a 475-horsepower rear-drive sports car through a Polar Vortex, anyway, right?
