Vintage 1989 Porsche 1.7 4 cyl Coupe Sunroof Project Car NO RESERVE!
We have a 1989 Porsche 944, we are selling this car no reserve! This car is sold as is where is. A ground up project car. It needs a complete overhaul and restoration. This will make an amazing car. Make her run and show again! We are selling as a whole parts car also. Perfect for junk yards, recycling or a summer time project. This car is a 1.7 4 cylinder automatic. Its body is in good shape without rust or damage that I am aware. Engine and transmission are original and present. 135111 shows on the OD. The paint is currently yellow, the car was white, you can see that is was not a very good paint job. The white peeking through. The rims are great! very shinny and the tires are dry rotted as it has been sitting for a while. The interior needs attention to the dash, front seats & shifter leather. The carpet seems ok, Trunk lid is stuck. The car does not start currently. It has and will, but will need an inspection from a mechanical inclined person. Has not run in a while. The car is really neat, but it needs an owner to put some time and money into her. She is sitting rotting away when she could be the next best drift car or project! This car is very special and deserves to be preserved so I am listing her at No Reserve!

This car will need to be picked up and towed. I can help with any arrangements that you may have. Pickup/Towing costs and set up is responsibility of winning bidder. No shipment or delivery available. Car is located in Fort Pierce Florida 34982 Send me a message and I will be happy to answer any questions.
Have fun on bidding and Save this PORSCHE!!!!!!
THIS IS WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR 944

The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...

Son of Porsche 911 designer recalls 1963 Frankfurt debut

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

The Goodwood Revival is described by its presenters as the greatest motorsport racing party of the year. We often focus heavily on the motorsports, but you can't forget about the party. For the first preview of the new 911 Turbo in the UK, Porsche recreated its booth from the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1963 - the time and place of the original 911's public debut.
Porsche's cameras also caught up with Mark Porsche, the great grandson of Dr. Ferdinand Porsche and son of the late Ferdinand Alexander "Butzi" Porsche, who oversaw the design of the 911. Mark Porsche admires the 911's friendly design, which is set off by the round headlights, and says his mother, who was at the original Frankfurt booth in 1963, was milling around the booth at Goodwood - no doubt taking a trip down memory lane.

Porsche's Mauer recalls the history of the 918 Spyder, hints about next-gen 911

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

The night before Porsche handed me the keys to its 2015 Macan to drive on both road and track, the company threw together a great dinner for the assembled media in Leipzig. Hosted in Porsche's spaceship-shaped customer delivery center in the eastern German town, I'll admit that I spent the bulk of my night grabbing hors d'oeuvres from passing waiters (they do a nice tuna sashimi), milling around a collection of historic and interesting vehicles on the top floor and gulping down Warsteiner.
In an era of mega car companies, the story of how the 918 came to be was really refreshing.
Before the evening was over, however, Porsche design chief Michael Mauer stopped by my table to exchange pleasantries and thank us all for coming out to drive the Macan. My fellow diners and I passed a pleasant half-hour or more picking the brain of the forthcoming Mauer, and somehow or another, the topic turned to Porsche's newest supercar, the 918 Spyder. In an era of mega car companies (the Volkswagen Group included) and massive development teams, the story of how the 918 came to be is really refreshing.
