1987 Porsche 944 Turbo Coupe 2-door 2.5l on 2040-cars
Cincinnati, Ohio, United States
This car is in great shape. It is one of my own personal cars that I am selling off. The 951 just never grew on me like my 911s did. Therefore I'd like to sell it off to invest I to another 911 car.
I'm unsure of how many owners there have been. The guy I purchased it from only drove it a few thousand miles in the 9yrs that he owned it. I've since put 3k miles on it just driving it to work in little of the year that I owned it. I never drove it in the winter. Things I have addressed since owning the car. I've replaced the following: DME relay Ignition switch Engine mounts with Lindsey racing solid mounts with custom water jetted hard foam disk to soften the vibrations. Oil cooler line Oem acc belts Sunroof gears (not installed yet) Front splitter Weighted bronze shift knob that's threaded. Gold gauge rings Re soldered the dme and klr New clutch Slave cylinders with stainless steel line Ball joints (not installed yet) 3" exhaust w/o cat R-134a conversion New position sensors Upper windshield washer pump Rear hatch struts Lindsey racing spark plug wires Msd coil Polk audio door speakers Sony head unit with aux input The bad things about the car: The a/c has a leak in it. I charged it and it lasted most of the spring/summer but has finally bled off. The sunroof gears need replaced. I have these that will go with the car. The passenger exterior door handle is hard to open. It does work but takes a Firm grip to open it up. Window washers don't spray. Can hear the pump kick on that I replaced but never looked into it any further. The paint has started to peel off only on the passenger side door bumper strip. Hasn't peeled anywhere else and there's no rust anywhere The dash is cracked. Very typical of these cars. I never found a non cracked dash in the time I owned it. The aftermarket steering wheel will be replaced with the oem steering wheel that it came with. I will also be putting the oem phone dials back on the car as well bc the 996 911 wheels on it belong to my 996 c2. I do also have a lot of aftermarket parts I never put on that I have for sale. The are the following: Gts headlight kit Rollbar Adj fpr 3 bar fpr Tial 38mm adapter plates and tial 38mm wastegate Pro flow maf kit brace Brey Krause R 1524 Oem stage 1 clutch disc Oem pressure plate Light weight flywheel I will be posting more pictures as I get some taken. These are just the ones I have this far. Any further questions you can text me at 513-302-6014 A 500 dollar non-refundable deposit is required with in the 48 hours of the auction end time. |

2014 Porsche Panamera Turbo S is a 911 Turbo for the family man
Thu, 21 Nov 2013In the event that the Porsche Panamera Turbo's 520 horsepower and 189-mile-per-hour top speed aren't enough to sate the appetite of the speed freak, Porsche has just given the auto show debut to the faster, more powerful Panamera Turbo S.
With 570 horsepower being pumped from a 4.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, the Panamera Turbo S promises even faster acceleration, hitting 60 mph in 3.6 seconds, a 0.3-second improvement over the standard Turbo. The top speed, meanwhile, climbs to 192 mph, which is kind of ridiculous for a car with four doors and a trunk.
Other enhancements that come with this Panamera's extra syllable include carbon-ceramic brakes and the entirety of Porsche's active chassis systems, including Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and Porsche Active Suspension Management. The performance goodies come standard, but that doesn't mean the Panamera Turbo S is cheap.
Get lost in Evo's sublime 2013 Car of the Year testing
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Every year Evo stages its Car of the Year test, bringing the best performance cars in the world to one location for an epic shootout. This year the magazine pitted eight CotY finalists against each other on Route Napoleon in Southern France - Evo claims it's the "best road in the world" - and then proceeded to nitpick the smallest of faults on each car until the winner could be named. You see, this year's lineup of machines was just so good that only one car obviously wasn't CotY material from the get-go. Can you guess which one judging from the list below?
- Aston Martin V12 Vantage S
- Audi R8 V10 Plus
Porsche announces works team for United Sportscar Championship
Tue, 24 Sep 2013Porsche is undoubtedly the most successful manufacturer in sportscar racing, and it's only upping its game. The German marque is launching its new LMP1 racer for Le Mans in pursuit of overall victory once again, and now that sportscar racing in North America is coming together under one banner in the United Sportscar Championship, Porsche has announced it is entering the fray with a works team here as well.
The new Porsche North America racing team will field two cars in the entire inaugural season of the Tudor United Sportscar Championship that's been formed out of the former Grand-Am and American Le Mans Series. The team will be based out of the Porsche Motorsport North America facility in Santa Ana, California, and will partner with three-time ALMS LMPC winners Core Autosport in getting a pair of the latest 911 RSR racecars to the front of the GT Le Mans class.
Drivers have yet to be announced, but are projected to be drawn out of Porsche's factory driver program, which includes such talents as Patrick Long, Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Neel Jani. Keep reading below for the official announcement.
