930 911 Porsche Turbo on 2040-cars
Fort Myers, Florida, United States
I am selling a 1986 930 wide body TURBO Porsche ....... This car is a one of a kind. I bought this car from a family member's estate and had it shipped to me in an enclosed 18 wheeler. I have owned it for 2 1/2 years and put 47 miles on it (I take it out every Sunday and drive it around my neighborhood). The car has 2300 miles on a rebuilt engine. The factory engine was removed from the vehicle and started from new. The kit was $65k with 580HP to the rear tires. The oil gets changed every 3 months. I am selling it because I don't drive her like she should be driven and I hate to see something this nice sit in a garage under a cotton cover. Here are SOME of the specifics..this car was re-built in Las Vegas. The car received a full-body make-over, which includes, but is not limited to, a 12k custom paint job, custom brake system (larger calipers and drilled rotors for precise stopping at faster speeds), and a new race suspension for handling high speeds. There are over 100k in upgrades found in this car. This car was built for speed (203MPH) ... You will never see anything like this one. The paint is Beautiful. The wheels have NO dings or scratches. The brakes have 2300 miles on them and the same is true for the Pirelli Zero tires. The A/C works but it does not get cool like a brand new car. Yes, it cools the car down. Since I have been watching Ebay and other sites, I have seen similar cars selling for between $85k-125K. I'M SELLING IT BELOW THAT . If you have any questions please call me 239 313 1661. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you are a dealer and/or try to low ball me I will hang up on you. This is very hard for me to sell in the first place so please don't insult me. Thank you .......

Porsche 918 Spyder already almost sold out?
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Still planning on getting your hands on a Porsche 918 Spyder? You'd better act quickly, because word has it that the hybrid hypercar is nearly sold out.
While Porsche has reportedly only delivered a little over 30 of the 918 examples of the Spyder it plans to manufacture in total, Automotive News says that production is sold out through late March or early April - just a few months shy of when production is set to wrap in July.
That's pretty impressive for a car with a base price of almost $850,000, especially one requiring a $200,000 deposit just to get your name on the list. Still, that sum is significantly less than its competitors get for the McLaren P1 or LaFerrari, both of which sell for over a million (if you can actually get on one at that price), though in fairness, production of each is limited to less than half of the 918 Spyder.
Take a POV hot lap in the Porsche 918 Spyder
Mon, 14 Apr 2014That title about says it all. This is a hot lap of the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, TX, with Porsche Works Driver Patrick Long at the wheel of a Porsche 918 Spyder. The camera is basically showing us everything that Long sees, making this not just one of the coolest 918 videos we've seen, but also one of the neatest laps of CoTA.
As Long peers through the bends, so will you. You'll see him fight the wheel, and find out just how difficult it is to hustle this hybrid hypercar around a world-class track at speed. It's pretty darn entertaining. There are also a few scattered shots of the 918's exterior just to break up the interior awesomeness, although we aren't exactly complaining about those. Take a look below for the short video from Porsche.
First-ever Porsche headed home to company museum
Wed, 29 Jan 2014About 30 years before Ferdinand Porsche designed the Volkswagen Beetle, he created the Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model - or simply, the P1 - you see above. This was the first vehicle created by Porsche, and the car gets its nickname from the fact that he had stamped "P1" on many of the parts marking it as the first Porsche... sorry, 356 No. 1.
Now while you'd think that such an important piece of Porsche heritage has been in a museum or even the automaker's not-so-secret lair, it has actually been sitting at a warehouse for the last 112 years. Thankfully, that's all about to change as Porsche has recovered P1, and the car will soon be on "permanent display" at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.
The P1 has a 3 horsepower motor capable of delivering a top speed of 21 miles per hour and a driving range of 49 miles, and, like many vehicles in Porsche's history, the motor is positioned at the rear of the vehicle. According to the press release posted below, the P1 finished first in a 24-mile electric vehicle race in Berlin in 1899, but it has been sitting since 1902.
