Here is very nice, clean 1991 Porsche 928 S4
.......  I purchased this car from a Porsche 928 collector, who only sold it because he picked up a newer 95 GTS.   The previous owner owns a high-end auto shop and had his techs do everything imaginable to make this 928 the boss' daily driver.

First off, this 928 has a clean car fax...

The interior is near new looking, except for slight rub wear on the inside bolster of the driver's seat...Could easily be dyed. Still has that classic Porsche factory leather smell!!

The rear A/C option center console vents are new.  The rear hatch releases work well, as I just replaced the urethane insulator.  The timing belt and water pump were replaced recently... less than 1000 miles driven since then.  The car was fully serviced: brakes, fluids, filters, etc.. about 100 miles ago.  The A/C system is R134.   Original books, leather pouch and keys (3) Original spare tire/wheel, Porsche compressor kit, gloves & tools, etc..  I also have the factory radio/head unit.
The paint looks great! I just had the car professionally detailed by the best shop here in Naples, FL.  No dents, no door dings or obvious scratches.
The tires are brand new Bridgestone Potenza RE11's.....Which are very, very good tires for this car.  The factory wheels were professionally refinished due to slight curb rash..No bends, or breaks!! They look awesome!  New factory Porsche black alloy lug nuts too!....  We just installed the Motorsport SLC X-Pipe...Sounds awesome and unleashed an additional 25 to 30 HP...  The windows were professionally tinted....The audio system is an Alpine Sirius head unit (Sirius/XM, Bluetooth w/mic, Pandora, etc), Memphis Audio speakers behind factory grills and a powered rear sub (removable). The system sounds really good....  Car comes with a battery tender.

Finding a nice, clean, well-sorted 928 these days is extremely difficult....
My "Buy It Now" price is what I have in the car...
My reason for selling:  I thought my 15 year old son would be interested in learning about working on cars.....Thought this would be a great first car because of their safety in a collision reputation. Assumed it would require some fun work & some restoration.  Problem is...There is nothing to repair or rework on this car that I can see.  It's ready to go visit Aunt Ethel in California...& back.

I reserve the right to end the auction early, as it is offered for sale elsewhere.

Porsche patent sketches show removable headrest wind deflector

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

While driving around in a convertible might seem glamorous, ask anyone with long hair and they'll likely tell you how it really is: the wind buffets, your hair goes everywhere and it's anything but glamorous. That's why you see so many convertibles driving with their tops up, their windows up or wind deflectors in place. But Porsche is apparently preparing to kick it up to the next level.
These patent drawings have leaked out, demonstrating what appears to be some new kind of wind-deflecting device being developed by Porsche. The mechanism is apparently fitted to the headrest itself and designed to keep the wind buffeting specifically around the head down to a minimum while allowing the car's occupants to enjoy the top-down driving experience.
No word on when it might hit the market, but we won't be surprised to see this kind of device appear on a future version of the Boxster or 911 Cabriolet. But nowhere else: despite the apparent leak, the patent drawings suggest that Porsche will be keeping this technology proprietary. Whether sister brands like Volkswagen, Bentley or Lamborghini will get their hands on it remains to be seen.

Porsche Cayman GT4 speeds back into view

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

We're all familiar with the succession of numbers that follow the letters GT on a hard-core Porsche 911: the GT1 that was Stuttgart's Le Mans contender in the late 90s, the GT2 that packs turbochargers but without the Turbo's all-wheel drive and excess weight, and the naturally aspirated GT3 that's the enthusiast's choice. But a GT4? That's something new, and exactly what Porsche has in store.
Spied testing in Germany once again is the upcoming GT4 version of the Porsche Cayman, set to supersede the existing GTS and take the place of the previous Cayman R at the top of Porsche's junior sports car range. This latest batch of spy shots doesn't show us much more than the last crop, but gives us a much clearer view at what promises to be the most hardcore Cayman to date.
As you can see, the Cayman GT4 packs a much more aggressive aero kit and rolling stock than any version we've seen to date. It's got a lip spoiler, big air dam and GT3-style vent in front of the hood, deep air scoops along the flanks, a set of spindly alloys packing oversized brakes, a diffuser with twin central exhaust tips around back and a rear wing that's likely to be replaced with a sleeker unit before the GT4 reaches production.

2012 TechArt Porsche 911 is visually dazzling, both inside and out

Wed, 07 Mar 2012

One way to ensure that your brand-new Porsche 911 (a.k.a. 991) won't look like the one in your neighbor's driveway is to give TechArt a call. The famed German tuner has rolled out its version of the latest Carrera and Carrera S at the Geneva Motor Show and trust us, it won't be mistaken for anything from the factory in Stuttgart.
Up front, TechArt has fitted its own unique two-part spoiler with integrated splitter while more aggressive side skirts adorn the rocker panels. The rear has a new lower diffuser, wrapped around the TechArt exhaust, and a large fixed rear wing (complete with an integrated third brake light). Look more closely to notice the subtle trim panels on the exterior mirrors and front headlights. The wheels are lightweight forged 20- and 21-inch alloys with matching paint on their rims.
Inside the heavily modified cabin are even more drastic enhancements (let's say TechArt has gone over the top). Don't let the aluminum pedals be a distraction as you inspect the black Alcantara and high-grade leather covering nearly every square inch. Flirting with gaudy, the dark upholstery is contrasted by vehicle-color-coordinated stitching and painted trim splashed throughout. However, the icing on the cake is an insanely thick TechArt three-spoke sports steering wheel.
