This is an amazingly well documented, and maintained 928, there are over 30k in receipts, prior to my purchase, and 7k, more in the past 6 mo's.

Since buying the car for 13k in Feb, I have done the following. New clutch upgrade to GT spec, incl, pressure plate, clutch arm ,throwout bearing, pilot bushing, slave cylinder, clutch disc, and rear main crank seal.1100.00

Bosch performance plug wires, blue LED dash lights, stainless dash bezel,( Kenwood Reciever W/mp3,CD,Satelite,remote,usb,and docking, Bluetooth, detachable face, new rear speakers,etc.400.00.)

All fuel lines replaced with greg Baird performance, braided hoses, w/ lifetime warranty..835.00...the best made, and very pretty.

Louis Ott Engineering, remapped Bosch Jetronic Ecu...smooth power band, excellent accel, and increased fuel efficiency, including, a 36 mo warranty on the unit

All calipers, ceramic coated, and new Pagid brake shoes, front, and rear...rear diff flush, and Mobil one conversion

New front Yokahama S drive performance 225/50/16, Power steering feed line...reservoir to pump, and AC Synthetic charge.....

Hand made Autocraft front spoiler to replace the unavailable TechArt......gold plated fender badges, and wider 16X8 front CS rims...( rears CS wheels, are 16X9 W/ 245/45/16 tires )

In addition to all Ive done, the recent work prior to purchase includes, new AC compressor, and 134 conversion, timing belt, tensioners, rollers, water pump, etc, rear rotors, rear hatch motor, New Paint...Very professionally done

the above is a within the past 2 years......I have a valise filled with 30k worth of work, and maintenance since new, including, a warranty engine rebuild, by Porsche...Its so extensive, I would need an hour to describe just half of it.

It is however ALL documented, and comes in a thick folder with the car..There  is a dual exhaust on the car that is Throaty, and I will send along the original muffler, and pipe, wich is very clean.and the original factory spoiler is here

Inside, and out this car is incredible...beautiful interior, fresh alignment, New MOMO Competicione steering wheel( will include original wheel). drives true and straight, with steering wheel dead center, at any speed.

Brakes are stout, and smooth, engine is tight, and very strong, shifting is smooth, and angle ball bushings, are new It is flawless to drive in every way

And now the bad stuff....very small dent, at roof front due to a flying branch, right seat needs a plastic drive gear, and one PS line needs replace (seeping slowly)

That's about it..PS the Wheels alone are VERY RARE CS Rims, and very valuable option, other options are rear AC, Leather headliner, front light squirters, TechArt Body Kit, And Autocraft Graphics

I can be contacted at Autocraftbyevert@yahoo.com or 321/243/4895

If you ask why a guy would spend over 20ik in 6 mo,s, and sell at a loss....Im Sick, and need to sell her...I don't want to, I love this car, It was my dream ride....but that's another story...Ill post as many pictures, as possible

thankyou for the time... Good Luck

2014 Porsche 911 Targa

Tue, 15 Apr 2014

I've watched the electro-hydraulic roof panel open and close about 73 times in the past hour, but its fascinatingly complicated operation still has me mesmerized. I've concluded that only a German automaker - Porsche, to be more specific - would go through the trouble of engineering a roof system that essentially lifts the entire greenhouse off a vehicle, rearranges its components like a sliding-tile puzzle, and then reassembles all of them seamlessly (sans roof panel) to accurately recreate one of its most famed bodystyles.
The 2014 Porsche 911 Targa is a near-perfect modern interpretation of the automaker's 1965 911 Targa, a semi-convertible bodystyle that represents nearly 13 percent of all 911 models sold since production started 50 years ago. While the early car's roof was purely manual in operation - that's the period-correct way of saying that the driver did all of the muscle work - today's Targa is a completely automated transformation that requires only that the driver hold down a cabin-mounted switch for a mere 19 seconds to let the captivating show run its course.
After studying the Targa's elaborate roof operation at its launch at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, I was sufficiently intrigued. To that end, I traveled one-third of the way around the planet to southern Italy, hoping that the Mediterranean climate would reveal a bit more about the reintroduction of the automaker's iconic sports car.

Preserving automotive history costs big bucks

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.

Will Roegge makes 4K art of Jeff Zwart's 911 build and run up Pikes Peak

Sun, 17 Aug 2014

Will Roegge has turned his camera on Jeff Zwart and provided another gem, this time documenting Zwart's run up Pikes Peak and BBI Autosport. Bertim Besha dropped out of high school, then worked his way up to founding his own shop, BBI, that gathers a crew of tuners who are just as fastidious about their work as the customers are about their cars.
They prepped the 991-series Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Turbo, the product of combining a 911 GT2 that was the most powerful car Zwart drove up the mountain with a GT3 Cup that Zwart thought had the best handling. Two TiAL turbos and a lot of fettling make for a 3.8-liter flat-six with 700 horsepower, 700 pound-feet of torque and a 7,800-rpm redline. Zwart drove it to a heartbreaking second place this year, finishing less than 1.2 seconds behind the Time Attack 1 class winner when his car suffered its first mechanical issue of the week.
The first video below covers Besha, BBI and the build, the second is Zwart's run. As if the visuals weren't enough, sit back and enjoy the shrieking of the "Hill Climb Special," which is what the constellation Sirius would sound like if it could bark.
