1987 Porsche 928 S4 - 5 Speed - Lsd - Rare on 2040-cars

Year:1987 Mileage:117000
Location:

Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Burlington, Ontario, Canada

Up for sale is my very rare 1987 Porsche 928 S4, 5 speed with LSD and sport seats. It is 1 of 12 1987 928's sold in Canada with a manual transmission, limited slip differential and sport seats, 1 of 79 worldwide with these options for 1987. The car is also an early 1987 with the hinged rear wing. All 87's had the squirter block, knock sensors etc., great for Supercharging and the motor is ready.

I'm the third owner of the car, I purchased it from the second owner who purchased it from his neighbor after he passed away in 2004. The car has been meticulously cared for since day 1, including all service records to new, every tank of gas recorded in a little log book, along with dates that it went into winter storage etc. The car is in showroom condition from head to toe. The interior has been so well cared for by each owner that there is no excessive wear, even on the seat bolsters. The wheels are original anodized finish with new Potenza RE-11's. This past winter I refreshed the motor from top to bottom, new timing belt, water pump, seals, motor mounts etc. While the motor was apart I had everything professionally powder coated. Brand new brakes all around as well. And the list goes on, far too much to list here.

The car is stock except for the following:

-Cat delete H-pipe
-Rear Muffler Bypass
-Powersport drilled and slotted brake rotors
-Audi timing belt tensioner (maintenance free)
-Blaupunkt BT 420 head unit
-Raised center arm rest cover
-Clear bra on hood and top of front bumper (just installed in June)

Also included are the following stock parts:
-Stock cat with original o2 sensor
-Rear muffler
-Air pump
-Original timing belt tensioner
-Stock audio amplifier
-Stock center armrest lid

The car is 100% complete with the original tool kit, wheel locks, belts, flat tire bag, spare tire & jack, sunroof crank, all manuals and warranty book etc. Even the original salesman's business card. The first owner had the bumpers and sides of the car painted (1997) due to light scratches/dings from use. To be honest you can hardly tell, many people ask me if the paint is original since it looks so good. I just gave it some clay and wax and it looks spectacular. This car could sit in any showroom and feel right at home. Please message me for more info, I have hundreds of pictures of the work I have done, clean car fax in hand, a detailed blog during my owner ship, scans of the log book etc.

You will not find another 87 5spd in this condition or with the incredibly detailed history. Values are starting to climb on pristine examples as they are getting harder to find.

US buyers, this car is admissible to the US, and will be delivered with the required dealer letter from Porsche. For more information please contact your local DMV and or Customs Agency. I can deliver the car to the Buffalo border if necessary. PPI's welcomed, at buyers expense. FYI the car has 187xxx km's or 117xxx k miles on the clock.

Thanks for looking

Porsche 911 RSR stops just long enough to have its photo taken

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

When it comes to Porsche and its rapidly escalating endurance racing program, all eyes may be on the new 919 Hybrid - and with good reason: that's the vehicle with which Porsche will be challenging the likes of Audi and Toyota for wins in the top-tier LMP1 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship and at Le Mans. But it's the 911 RSR that does and will continue to form the backbone of the factory's effort.
The 470-horsepower racing version of the road-going 911 took a one-two finish in its class at Le Mans last year, and also won its class at the Daytona 24 this past January as well. This year Porsche will field two of them in the WEC, another two in the United SportsCar Championship here in the US and will sell countless more to customer racing teams that will undoubtedly continue to rack up trophies in racing series around the world. This, then, might be a unique chance to see one standing still. Check it out in our gallery of live images above from the Geneva Motor Show.

Listen to the Porsche Macan's exhaust note ahead of its LA debut

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

As if we need further proof that the Porsche Macan won't just be another small CUV, it'll be a small Porsche CUV, the German automaker has released a video of the vehicle's raucous exhaust note. In short, the Macan will sport a far racier soundtrack than most of its competitors.
The raspy sound coming from one of the Macan's two turbocharged V6 engines sounds great (the video isn't clear as to whether we're listening to the base 3.0-liter or the Turbo model's 3.6-liter engine), and it's accompanied by a nice crackle on overrun. It isn't like a 911 or other flat-six model, but it is more or less what we expect a Porsche to sound like. We'll have all the details on the newest member of the Porsche lineup when it debuts later this month at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Scroll down for an official press release from Porsche, as well as the video of the Macan, and be sure to turn your speakers up.

2015 Porsche Panamera Exclusive Series is a seriously quick way to spend $260k

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

Porsche is usually associated with being a sports car brand, but with vehicles like the Cayenne and Panamera it takes a step into the world of luxury against firmly established players like Mercedes-Benz. One way for the company to poke its head above the high-class fray is by taking things further, and in the case of the Panamera Exclusive Series at the Los Angeles Auto Show, it means pushing grandeur to extreme levels.
Coming in at an absolutely eye-watering $263,900, plus $995 destination, the Panamera Exclusive starts its life as the already sumptuous Panamera Turbo S Executive with a 4.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 making 570 horsepower on an extended wheelbase. To help justify the extra $63,000 for the Exclusive, though, the model gets 20-inch black Sport Classic wheels and an interior in swaddled in Nappa leather with dark walnut and piano black trim. Rear passengers also get 10.1-inch touchscreens mounted on the back of the front seats. A set of fitted Poltrana Frau leather luggage is included with each one, as well.
The luxurious sedan earns it Exclusive moniker because just 100 of them are being made worldwide. Scroll down to read about Porsche's ultimate limousine.
