1982 Porsche 928 Gold exterior which is in good condition considering age. No rust,  but also not show car condition. Starts right up and runs and drives very well, good battery and holds a charge, which is a big problem with these cars. no electrical drains!! I drive it on a weekly basis, its fun and fast, and what a head turner! the interior is in ok shape again for its year. it has a dash cover, and seats are suede on the inter-parts of the seats. all parts are there, but things just need a little work. Tires are in good shape, with aftermarket rims.

What are great sports car!! is in need of some minor work...starts right up, runs great, and is a blast to drive!  Automatic trans. Exotic Rims. Both Engine and Transmission have been gone over and tuned up. Fluids all replaced. Serviced. New fuel pump, alternator, Air filter, several misc. electrical repairs. Instrument cluster has been checked and gone over and is working well all bulbs, speedo/odom. working as should . Automatic transmission Serviced. Brakes are good.  interior is a 7 out of 10 exterior is a 7 out of 10 motor and trans are in great running shape. Mechanically sound car. The car is in need of a new home with a dedicated person that will finish what the previous owner started, it will not take too much to get this car in great condition.

I bought the car from a guy in VA when I bought it he gave me a bill of sale and the title (clean VA title, when I got back to PA I went to penndot and found out that the title was not clean, car fax was wrong on the title. I found out after using a different title company that the car was in a accident in MD back in 97 I think. long story short by the time I got the car titled (R title) carfax wanted nothing to do with me or the car (buy back program Junk)

Porsche revisits the 911's dirty side with rally history film

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

It might not be a coincidence that there are rumors of Porsche revealing a safari version of the 911 at April's Beijing Motor Show, just as the Dakar Rally is about to begin. Adding fuel to the dusty desert fire is a just-released official video of Jeff Zwart driving the Porsche 953 that Jacky Ickx drove to victory in the 1984 edition of the race.
In the video, the seven-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner talks about how he grew up with the 911; it wasn't only the car he learned to drive in, it was his choice of racecar no matter whether the course was tarmac or the dirty stuff.
You can decide for yourself if these recent events are mere coincidence while you enjoy the 953's exhaust note in the video below. If you've got the time to see the 953 during its race-conquering drive and find out what the ersatz Paris-Dakar Rally used to be, we've also included a broadcast of that 1984 race below as well. Fast-forward to 19:44 to see the Porsches cross the open dessert and 29:09 to watch one of them tackle the dunes.

Porsche exec confirms Macan Diesel for US

Wed, 15 Oct 2014

The idea of a diesel-powered Porsche is the sort of thing that sounds really, really weird... until you actually drive it. The result of sticking glow plugs under the hood of Stuttgart's finest, though, is a vehicle that's nearly as entertaining as a gas-powered model but with much more torque and better fuel economy. Considering that, we think it's absolutely splendid news that following previous reports, Porsche has now confirmed a diesel-powered Macan for the US market.
"We are now busy with the development and the engineering," Andre Oosthuizen, Porsche's North American marketing VP, told Automotive News. "I can confirm that V6 diesel offering with about 245 horsepower."
Yep, that's the same 3.0-liter V6 found, most notably, in the CUV's Audi Q5 platform-mate as well as a plethora of other Volkswagen Group vehicles, both in the US and abroad. Stuttgart already offers the 3.0-liter oil-burner in the Euro-spec crossover, where it churns out 258 hp and 427 pound-feet of torque.

1949 Gm?nd Porsche shows the birth of an icon

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Austrian village of Gmünd is more than just difficult to pronounce; it's also the birthplace of the Porsche brand. Before the company ever started building sports cars at its current home base near Stuttgart, the fledgling business completed several vehicles in the tiny town in Southern Austria. In this video, former Pikes Peak International Hill Climb champion Jeff Zwart takes a look at a 1949 Gmünd coupe to see how the company has evolved since its earliest days.
The thing to note about the Gmünd-built Porsches is their absolute design simplicity. The phrase "form follows function" gets bandied around a lot, but it really means something when you look at these early cars. However, the minimalism was partially out of necessity. The vehicles were meant to be sporty but certainly weren't rockets. Power came courtesy of a modified Volkswagen Beetle engine, and anything extraneous would have slowed the models down. Scroll down to watch Zwart go back in time to Porsche's beginnings.
