THE ULTIMATE GERMAN MUSCLE CAR (Made Better)

If you're not seeking a squeaky clean garage queen then skip this listing

Imagine what this 928 was like new, if it were built today. Nothing looks or appears "worn" on this Porsche because if it was, it has already been replaced. This is what museum quality means.

This 928 literally lights up a room and provides both a visual and auditory experience to go with it. Although this custom can be driven daily (if you so desire), it has only been used for show purposes and presently sits in my private collection. Did you catch that? This collectible is not from a dealer lot, dealer inventory, or third party agent. NO, no. I am the real owner.

NOT from some backlot dealer inventory or third-party consignor, this Porsche is offered from the collector who knows how it was built. Commissioned to be fabricated by the lead CANADIAN pursuit vehicle installer, this Porsche not only looks and sounds great, it also includes the interceptor performance package to go with it. There is no other one in the world that has ever been built to match it.

More photos of the operating light bars and flashing sequences are not permitted in this online advertising source. Neither is the use of law enforcement words. Therefore, you will need to go to the website (upon request) to enjoy the entire show. And only if this truly intrigues you. Not to satisfy any curiosity please. This is a real car for a real buyer.

Being sold from my own private collection to another serious collector of fine automobiles. If you are a serious collector of unique automobiles, chances are this one is missing from your stable. There is no disappointments here. It is a WOW Factor car upon first glance in person.

Now Read on...

IF YOU LIKE SUPER CLEAN. I MEAN CONCOURS CONDITION. MUSEUM PIECE. SHOW READY. THIS IS THE ONE.

THIS IS A NICELY APPOINTED HIGHLY OPTIONED 928 WITH FACTORY DUAL HEATED AND POWER SEATS AND DUAL POWER LUMBAR FEATURE WITH FACTORY ALARM. IT BOASTS THE ORIGINAL MARINE BLUE LEATHER INTERIOR AND ORIGINAL EXTERIOR FACTORY PAINT WITH GTS UPGRADES. ULTRA CLEAN. SPECIALTY CUSTOM.

THE HEAT-WRAPPED HEADER INSTALLED CUSTOM BUILT MAGNA-FLOW EXHAUST SYSTEM IS MEANT FOR PERFORMANCE. THE WAY AN UNRESTRICTED V8 SHOULD SOUND AND GO. THAT'S RIGHT, A TRUE DUAL EXHAUST WITH CHROME DUAL EXHAUST TIPS (something real 928's never had). EVERY REAL PERFORMANCE CAR HAS TWIN TIPS. IT COMPLETES THE REAR LIKE A 911.

IF WORDS LIKE: UNIQUE, EXCLUSIVE, MEMBERS ONLY, OR ONE- OF-A-KIND ARE IN YOUR VOCABULARY, THEN THIS PORSCHE MIGHT JUST BE FOR YOU. I'M NOT BIG ON EXTRAVAGANT SALES PITCHES AND FLAMBOYANT ADS. THIS PORSCHE REALLY SELLS ITSELF. I'M LOOKING TO MOVE A CLASSIC CAR OUT OF THE COLLECTION AND THIS MIGHT BE THE ONE IF A TRULY INTERESTED BUYER COMES ALONG. AS THE VALUE OF WORLD CURRENCIES FALL, CLASSIC CARS CONTINUE TO BECOME REAL TANGIBLE USEABLE INVESTMENTS. HERE YOU HAVE AN APPRECIATING ITEM OF TRUE AND LASTING VALUE.

I REALIZE 928's BRING ALONG A DIFFERENT BREED OF BUYERS THAN DO 911's. THEREFORE, I WOULD LIKE THIS COLLECTORS PIECE TO GO TO ANOTHER COLLECTOR AND NOT SOMEONE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CHEAP 928. THIS PARTICULAR 928 WAS IN PORSCHE PANORAMA MAGAZINE FEATURED IN A PCA CLUB DISPLAY AND REMAINS IN SHOW STATUS. OWNED BY A PERFECTIONIST, EVERYTHING THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE, IS DONE.

ON PRICE... MOST RECOGNIZE THAT YOU COULD NOT COMPLETE A BUILD OF THIS QUALITY FOR THE STARTING PRICE SEEN HERE. ANYONE WHO HAS EVER TAKEN ON A 3-to-5 YEAR CUSTOM CAR PROJECT KNOWS WHAT I MEAN. FINANCIALLY, THE BUYER ALWAYS GETS THE BETTER DEAL WHEN THE CAR IS PRESENTED AS "DONE".

THEREFORE, THE PRICE IS FAR BELOW THE VALUE OF WHAT IS OFFERED HERE AS A CUSTOM BUILD. FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO PLACE BIDS FOR SOMETHING THEY NEVER REALLY HAVE ANY DESIRE TO PURCHASE, LEAVE THIS FOR THE REAL BUYERS. FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN THE MARKET, THE BEST PART: NO RESERVE.

SO PLEASE... TEXT, TALK AND TYPE ON DISCUSSION FORUMS AND SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS AS THIS DOES ME A GREAT FAVOR. IT ADDS TO GETTING THE WORD OUT (free advertising for me). REGARDLESS OF THE IMHO COMMENTS, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS. THE MORE PEOPLE THAT KNOW ABOUT THIS PORSCHE, THE BETTER. THIS IS THE BEST FORM OF ADVERTISING, SO THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

NOTE: Actual law enforcement pursuit roof light bar and interior emergency light bars and related accessories will be removed prior to shipping. These can be made available to the buyer if so desired. In addition, the tactical vest and accessories and special order DMV Germany plate will also be made available separately. WHY? These "flashy" items add no real tangible value to the actual car. So I'm told. Of course, all are available for viewing "in action" if one desires to consider having them as part of the collection.

SPECIAL NOTE ON PROVENANCE: This car has a very CLEAN and CLEAR title (history). It was hand-built by Porsche in Stuttgart for the Canadian market and has never left Canada since arriving here. To those in Canada and Europe, this means it's given similar specifications as EURO spec models which makes it more desirable and more rare than a traditional U.S. spec 928. Sold and owned in Canada from new, it boasts having EURO instrumentation with a 300km/h speedometer from the factory. More importantly, it's traceable right to the day of its initial sale from the Porsche dealer in Vancouver, B.C. CANADA on January 2, 1988. That's right, 26 years ago. Therefore, this officially classifies it as antique status in Canada. Once again, this is not an import from the U.S. or overseas with a multi-owner background. We all know, the three most important qualities in real estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. In a classic car, it's PROVENANCE, PROVENANCE, and PROVENANCE which only adds to its value as a collectible.

OVER THE TOP IN EVERY WAY...

You want something unique? You want something already "done"? You want a Porsche you can drive or show? You want a Porsche you can be proud to own? It's right here... A newer interior with original leather seats and body. A clean history and clear title. Yes, it can be registered and driven the way it is. Yes, the custom decaling and light bars and controller and LED amplifier and sirens and air horn and flashers and strobes and red and blues and intercom and DMV Germany plate and even the gold plating will all be disabled and removed.

The point is even with all that "jazz" out of the way, this is still a concours condition 928 so you get to start off with something FRESH. And that is the best way to begin the new season ahead. The opportunity to enjoy life comes only once. So enjoy the journey... it is the reward... and it continues right here... beginning with your bid.

ONLY TERM & CONDITION (FINAL BID NOTICE): The winning buyer will be invoiced 10% of the final bid price to be paid within 48 hours as a non-refundable deposit to confirm sale of the vehicle.

NOTE TO POTENTIAL U.S. BUYERS: This is not a listing for the U.S. market. Yes, it can be imported into the United States. I just find that from past experience most buyers have no clue how to go about doing that. If you are truly interested, contact me. The simplest way is to hire a broker. After all, this is an investment so invest to have it imported easily.

...IF YOU MADE IT THIS FAR, THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST…

2014 Porsche Cayman promo video hits the web

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Don't know how we missed this, but you don't have to play around with the 2014 Porsche Cayman configurator to see the new coupe in action; Porsche has given us more than two beautiful minutes of Cayman footage to enjoy.
The partners in the on-screen tango are the 275-horsepower base Cayman and the 325-hp Cayman S. If you like to keep track of such things, the former starts at $52,600, the latter at $63,800, plus $950 destination for each. Watching a video like the one below, however, is free.

Porsche teams with Delta airlines to woo VIP passengers

Sun, 15 Sep 2013

The next time you're waiting for a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, see if you can spot a Porsche Cayenne or Panamera zipping between aircraft on the busy tarmac. The high-performance German vehicles aren't there practicing for an upcoming autocross; they are tasked with whisking some of the airline's most important customers between flights so they can keep their busy schedules intact.
Launched nearly two years ago, the program has proven popular with the automaker, airline and passengers as all benefit from the unique arrangement. Atlanta-based Porsche is able to showcase its cars to Delta's frequent-flying Medallion members, the airline is recognized for providing unusual perks to its high-value customers and those fortunate enough to be surprised with a quick lift are able to make connections without a stressful run through the terminal. Based on its success, the airline is rolling our similar programs in New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis this month.
And don't think Porsche is the only automaker working with an airline to entice its frequent flyers. Mercedes-Benz ran a program over the summer that offered purchasing and leasing incentives to MileagePlus Premier members of United Airlines, and the two are currently shuttling top fliers around Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the automaker's S-Class and GL-Class models.

Porsche Cayman S and Caterham 7 go head to head on the drag strip

Fri, 27 Jun 2014

We recently saw the standard Porsche Cayman go up against a Subaru WRX STI in a one-mile drag race with surprising results. Apparently, Evo had a similar idea of evaluating the Cayman's quickness. However, it opted for the more powerful S model and chose a flyweight Caterham Roadsport 140 as the challenger. Will the results of this battle be as close at the end of the kilometer-long (0.62-mile) drag?
Neither of these are cars you'd usually associate with drag racing, but they are nearly evenly matched. Evo selected them based on power-to-weight ratio, with the Caterham offering a scant 140 horsepower in a lithe 1,213-pound package. The Porsche is a quite svelte 2,910 pounds but has 325 hp to haul it around.
Of course, power-to-weight ratio isn't everything. There are a ton of other variables like aerodynamics and gearing that play a huge role, as well. Can the little Caterham's weight advantage overcome the better aero and additional power of the Porsche? Scroll down watch the video and find out.
