Original Paint Guards Red Automatic- 2.5 liter engine - Ice Cold AC - Good heat too when needed. Matching Falken Ziex-ZE 912 ( 65,000 mile, H rated) tires from Sears with only 5,000 miles on them. All in nice shape / look great and handle really nice. These tires wear well too. Adjustable Koni shocks installed by previous owner. Handles like on rails . Fun to drive! Has the 944 's 2.5 liter engine. Very nice clean carpeted floors . No rust. No leaks . Mileage just over 100,000. Recent work just performed by German Performance in Ft. Lauderdale. ( Highly regarded factory Porsche trained technician.) New thermostat & seal ring - lower radiator hose & refill coolant. Adjusted and inspected timing belt. I would be doing the next belt change in January 2015 , although it can go longer but that is up to the new owner. Also had them install a new low temp switch & windshield wiper relay. Replaced Air flow meter and cleaned and adjusted both speed sensors. Engine runs smoothly and perfect. Engine temp is good and both fans operate properly. I purchased the car 4 months ago from Porsche technician in Orlando . Timing belts & water pump done by previous owner about 1 year ago . Low miles since then. This was his wife's daily driver for 7 years. Car is not a garage queen but has been well maintained mechanically. I need either a bigger car or a new girlfriend, so whichever goes first, the other stays... Car is Fun to drive! Front seats are covered for rips. Has good support & plenty of leg room for me at 6'2". see pictures of minor character dings on side of vehicle. Car is available for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. Porsche 918 Spyder burns to ground in gas station conflagration
Mon, 29 Sep 2014There's one fewer Porsche 918 Spyder zipping along the roads of Toronto, Canada, today. A fire at a gas station over the weekend claimed one of the hybrid supercars in a massive blaze, and a portion of the inferno was caught on video.
According to our partners to the North at Autoblog Canada, the cause of the fire hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but witnesses reportedly claimed gasoline somehow came into contact with the hot exhaust outlets that exit out of the top of the supercar's engine bay. This was just one of two 918s believed to be in the Toronto area.
Other than a possible broken heart from the owner, the fire reportedly caused no injuries, and only the Porsche and gas pump appeared to sustain serious damage. Warning, the video of the conflagration does contain some explicit language.

Porsche gives GT3 owners extra year of warranty, new engines in production April 22
Sat, 12 Apr 2014While the auto industry reels from massive recall after massive recall, Porsche has quietly been working on a fix for an issue that's forced owners of the new 911 GT3 to park their track-ready rockets for fear of an engine fire. Thanks to a leaked letter from Porsche to a GT3 owner (which has been certified as real), we now have an idea of just where the German brand is at with the fix.
On April 22, Porsche will begin production of a new batch of GT3 engines for the 785 affected models across the globe. As you'll recall, the original issue rested with a screw joint that could loosen the connecting rod. The new engines have an "optimized piston rod screw connection," that should keep the connecting rod in place. Once technical validations are completed, production will kick off and new powerplants will be shipped around the globe for owners of the troubled cars.
Porsche will hand out a certificate to owners of affected cars once repairs have been completed, as a means of documenting the work. To make up for the trouble, Porsche will be giving owners an extra year on their new-vehicle warranty, while the 911 GT3 concierge will be reaching out to compensate them for having to park their car for so long.
