For sale is an All-Original 1975 Porsche 914 1.8 Liter California Car in Forest Green with Tan Vinyl Interior.  The car was sold in California and spent it's life from 1975 to 2004 in Desert south of San Francisco. It has the little EGR Light in Dashboard.  I have a copy of the California Title.  I also have the pair of original Blue & Yellow California License Plates that stay with the car for the life of the car while it is in California.  I purchased in 2004 and it has been garage kept in Pennsylvania.

The car is essentially corrosion free.  The paint and Interior are all original and as such I have not touched either at all.  It has all it's scratches, dings, dents, and tears from its years of use as a daily driver in California.. Someone installed an aftermarket car stereo but I have the Original AM/FM Factory Radio.  They installed speakers in the door panels but this is easily repaired.

I have gone through the car mechanically and rebuilt the entire rear undercarriage. Rear CV Joints/ New CV Joint Boots, Rear Hub Bearings (replacing these is a job hence most 914s have worn out rear hub bearings and make alot of noise at speed).  The shocks are Bilsteins, the new Coil springs are the stock units from George Hussey at 914 Atlanta.  New Flexible Brake Lines, Rotors, Rebuilt Calipers , Pads.

New Bursch Exhaust System. (as close to stock as available), new Bosch Starter, Stainless Steel Heat Exchangers, New Clutch Cable, New Throttle Cable.  Brand New Michelins on the original Mahle Gas Burner Mags.

New Master Cylinder., New Gas Pedal NOS from 914 Atlanta. Lots of NOS Porsche replacement parts in this car !

The Engine has been gone through. New Push Rod Tubes, Valve Job.  The L-Jetronic Fuel Injection system has been completely gone through by a german car fuel injection professional with new Bosch Fuel Injectors installed, Numerous new Bosch L-jet Fuel Injection parts throughout. ( I have a whole box of NOS Bosch Service items for the Bosch L-jetronic including injectors , sensors, air regulator, etc not included in the sale of this car but available for sale).  The engine starts easily and idles nicely even in the cold. I had the car out two weeks ago for the photos and it ran beautifully.

There is Zero Corrosion in Battery Tray area.  I have removed lead acid battery and installed a GEL Cell unit.

Up front I changed out wheel bearings and brake pads.  The rotors were excellent so I lturned them and left them in place.  Had I kept the car another season I was planning on finishing off the undercarriage with two front Bilstein shocks, 2 Porsche lower Balljoints, a Turbo-TireRod End Kit..  These are the only items that I can see being done to completely finish off the undercarriage rebuild.  Otherwise this car runs like it was when it was new.  The Rack and Pinion unit is very tight.  Believe me, if it needed it I would have put one in.  Underneith the car has  everything is as it was from the factory... no missing deflectors, heat shields, access covers... it's all Correct.

Last Summer I completely rebuilt the steering column.  Porsche 914 people will know about this.  old 914s tend to have sloppy steering wheels due to wear of the column bearings.  I removed the wheel and installed NOS Porsche Turn signal Lever switch, High Beam Dimmer switch, the White Plastic Ignition switch, and New Column Bearings.... The steering wheel is factory tight with all new switches.  See the Photos

If you're looking for an A1 all original Car all complete and ready to enjoy driving this is your car.  If you gotta have a 1973-74 2.0 liter car than you're gonna pay twice as much for a car in this condition.

I've restored 6 of these cars over the past 20 years or so.  If you have any questions please dont hesitate to email.

Watch onboard video of the Porsche 918 Spyder's record 'Ring lap

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

"Pics or it didn't happen!" You could almost hear the Internet shouting this when news started to trickle in about a sub-seven-minute Nürburgring lap by the new Porsche 918 Spyder. Well, after an official press release, which we ran earlier today, we have your "pics." Moving pics, to be more exact. Porsche has released on-board footage of the 6:57 lap.
The video, which runs about eight-and-a-half minutes, and shows the 918 from inside the car on a flying lap of the German track. Perhaps what's remarkable is just how undramatic it all looks. Sure, there's some sawing at the wheel from test driver Marc Lieb (one of three testers, including legendary rally king Walter Röhrl), but he makes wrangling the Martini-liveried 918 look kind of easy.
Take a look down below for the full, on-board video, and then click over and read our initial write-up from earlier this morning and take a glance at the more stylized video that Porsche originally posted.

Audi RS7 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo, which would you pick? [w/poll]

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.
After having a look at the video, register a vote for the car you'd park in your driveway in our poll. Hop below for the full video from the team at Motor Trend.

Porsche reveals new Panamera Turbo S ahead of Tokyo debut

Thu, 31 Oct 2013

For many buyers in the market for a luxury sports sedan, style is as important as performance. But while the Porsche Panamera undoubtedly delivers in the latter category, it falls somewhat short in the former. Porsche went to some lengths (if not quite far enough for some tastes) to improve its four-door model's visual appeal with the facelift revealed earlier this year, but now it's time to up the performance game with the new Panamera Turbo S.
Set to be revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show in just a few weeks from now, the new top-tier Panamera benefits from several key upgrades over the existing Turbo and the pre-facelift Turbo S. For one, its 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 570 horsepower (up from 520 in the new Turbo and 550 in the old Turbo S and the latest Cayenne Turbo S) and 553 pound-feet of torque (up from the current Turbo's 516 but the same as the previous model). Despite the power boost, however, Porsche is quoting the same 3.6-second 0-60 time for the new Panamera Turbo S as it did for the previous one - but then that hardly required improvement in the first place. Top speed, however, is up to 192 miles per Autobahn-blurring hour, two mph faster than the previous model.
Other features include carbon-ceramic brakes (hopefully with more durable bolts than sister companies Lamborghini and Bentley have been using) packed inside the wheels from the 911 Turbo and an exclusive shade of greige called Palladium. And for the first time, customers will be able to order this top-spec model in long-wheelbase Executive trim. But don't expect it to come cheap: MSRP (before delivery and options) is quoted at $180,300 for the standard wheelbase and $200,500 for the stretched model. That's two and a half times the price of a base Panamera, and makes the new Panamera Turbo S Executive both the most expensive and most powerful Porsche your can buy this side of a 918 Spyder. Haven't passed out yet? There's more to digest in the press release, so head on down below to take it all in.
