1966 Porsche 912. Immaculate condition. Only 61k miles. I am only the third owner. The original owner had it garaged for over 20 years. The second owner did most of the restoration and improvements, and I have owned it for the past 13 years. It has always been garaged and covered. The body is in perfect shape. Absolutely no rust, dents, or major dings. The paint is in beautiful condition (the 2nd owner had it repainted).

The interior is also in beautiful condition. The carpet, upholstery, and headliner, were all replaced and are in great condition. The seats are high backs from a 1970s 911, but were re-upholstered to match. I added a Sony 50w x 4 detachable face cd deck with 4 Infinity speakers. It sounds great. I also added a Clifford alarm. All gauges are in working order (although I think the speedometer is a little fast and not sure how totally accurate the odometer is/was). The weather-striping was replaced and is also in excellent condition. All windows, wind-wings, door handles, seat adjustments, lamps, lights, etc. are all in good working order.

The engine is solid and strong. The 2nd owner added the dual weber carbs and the MSD electronic ignition. It is an original 5 speed, and the clutch and transmission are in good order and have been recently maintained. The brakes, shocks, ball-joints, and suspension have also been recently maintained. I have also added a trickle charger for the battery, because unfortunately, i haven't been driving it enough (hence the sale). All work during my past 13 years of ownership have been handled by Dieters in San Diego. They are the best in town (www.dieters.com). I have a lot of the documentation and records even dating back to the original owner in the 1960's, including the original Owner's Manual.

It 's not perfect, but all-in-all, it's in amazing shape for a 48 year-old car. Literally, every time I drive it, I get compliments, thumbs-ups, smiles, and people coming over to look and ask questions. It's really a great car.

Porsche (finally) unleashes full, official details on 918 Spyder

Porsche has finally let released all of the details on the 918 Spyder, the German brand's challenger to the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, after months of leading our poor, performance-loving hearts on. The covers were lifted at the Volkswagen Group night, an enormous precursor to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and include a massive, 11,000-word press release that's attached at the bottom of this page.
The 918 Spyder features a mid-mounted, dry-sump-lubricated, 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 608 horsepower when left to its own devices. Combined with a trio of electric motors, which produce 286 hp, the total system horsepower for the 918 Spyder rests at 887 ponies. That's less than the McLaren P1 (903 hp) and the LaFerrari (949 hp), but the Porsche is also likely to be a bit cheaper, starting at $845,000, while the McLaren will be in the seven-figure range for certain, and it will more than likely be joined by the LaFezza.
The 918 Spyder counters with a 2.8-second jog to 62, a 7.7-second run to 124 and it will hit 186 in 22 seconds.

Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.

Stock Miata beats bunch of high-powered cars in wet 1/4-mile drag race

When is a stock, 167-horsepower Mazda MX-5 Miata quicker than a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Elise and a Porsche 911? When it's raining. Sort of.
Mazda Canada arranged a unique drag race to show off the fact that the Miata's optional power retractable folding hardtop can go from top-down to top-up in just 12 seconds flat. In this video, all six cars line up for a drag race, and it starts to rain (well, sort of - but you'll have to watch the video all the way to the end to see what we mean). The green flag is waved, and the timer starts as soon as the convertibles begin to put their tops up. But because the Miata's roof mechanism gets the car's roof back up a full 5.1 seconds quicker than the second-place car, the Mazda gets a serious advantage off the line for the actual drag race.
