1966 Porsche 912 on 2040-cars
Chapmansboro, Tennessee, United States
1966 Porsche 912. This is a very solid, honest and clean driving car.
The previous elderly owner had it for over 20 years and took very good care of her. It is a fun car to drive
and enjoy. The engine was rebuilt only a few thousand miles ago. She has a couple of
push rod tube seeps, but no other oil leaks. It's currently running on Webers, but I have the original Solex carbs,
intakes, and Knecht mesh air cleaners as well as the original pistons and cylinders, all of which go with the car.
The clutch is good and so are the brakes. The Pirelli tires are like new, all the wheels including the spare are
correctly date coded.
As you can see all the glass is nice, the windows roll up and down as they should and the rear pop out windows open
and close nice. Doors close nice and the door cards are excellent. The interior is in great condition, no dash
cracks either. She was cared for and always garaged. All the lights work including turn signal lights and brake
lights. All the gauges work as well as the horn, wipers and heat. The heater boxes are correct, but the exhaust is
not the original but vintage. The seat belts work and appear to be original.

Porsche Macan Turbo vs Cayman GTS in track battle
Fri, 19 Sep 2014"Well this is stupid." On the surface, that was our reaction to this video, as well. Why would you compare the hottest Porsche Cayman with a crossover of any kind, even if it is the 400-horsepower Macan Turbo?
We're guessing because it'd be bloody good fun, as evidenced Auto Express's latest track battle. To be fair, there is some interesting stuff here. The two do have a similar starting price, separated by less than $3,000 here in the US market. And, factoring in the Macan's hefty horsepower and torque advantages - 60 horsepower and 126 pound-feet - does make for a slightly interesting comparison.
We won't spoil the verdict, so check out the full video from Auto Express, and then let us know what you think in Comments.

Audi and Porsche squabble over future product platforms
Tue, 22 Jul 2014In the buildup to the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans, Audi delivered an amusing video that worked on the playful rivalry between the German brand and its favorite frenemy, Porsche. We called it sibling rivalry, and at the time, it may have been just that. But just like sibling rivalries, it's all fun and games until someone gets hurt, and that's just what seems to be about to happen in the formerly peaceful Volkswagen Group family.
A new report from Automobile calls out the growing animosity between Porsche, who is backed up by Bentley, and Audi, whose primary ally is Lamborghini. No blows have actually been thrown, although there is a fair amount of "he said, she said" going on.
As Porsche tells it, for example, the new global fullsize SUV architecture being developed by Audi isn't up to snuff, citing size and structure issues, as well as an inability to accommodate a wide variety of engines.
