2003 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera Coupe - 46641 miles - All-wheel-drive - Twin Turbo - 6sp Manual

VIN: WP0AB29943S686841

I have owned this car for 1.5 years. It has been cared for meticulously. Waxed every 6 months. All maintenance is up-to-date. Garage kept and rarely driven in rain. Black on black interior. The exterior is in excellent condition. A few very minor rock chips on the front from road debris. The passenger side mirror has a scuff on it.  Hard to get this to show up in the pic.  The interior is in great shape.  There are 2 minor scuffs on the passenger seat as shown in the close-up pic of the seat....on left side of bottom of the seat. There are some light scratches from fingernails on the inside of the driver door behind the handle.  Tires are about 50% worn.

The following modifications were performed at 43k miles:

1. FVD Brombacher Software Upgrade - This software was recommended by Pro-Tech Motorsports in Greenville, SC. A well-known Porsche service facility and race shop. It boosts hp from 420 hp to 490 hp. The tune has been installed for 5000 miles, and can be removed easily if you wish.

FVD Software Power Gains:
Max. Power -- 360 kW (490 HP) @ 6000 rpm
Max. Torque -- 735 Nm (542 lb.-ft.) @ 4000 rpm
Max. Speed -- 318 km/h (198 mph)
Max. RPM -- 7000 rpm
Acceleration 0-100 km/h (0-62.5 mph) - 3.9s

2. High Flow Air Filter that came with the FVD kit.

3. FVD Billet Diverter Valves on turbos - allows Turbos to operate more efficiently and reduces turbo lag.

4. 3M Clear Bra - protects bumper from chips caused by road debris

The windows were tinted at 43k miles, as well.

-Door Sills in Stainless w/Model Insignia - $425

-Leather Dashboard Package - $2,980

This car is a blast to drive. The performance is amazing. Tons of power and all-wheel drive so the tires don't spin. If you are familiar with Porsche cars, you know the handling is excellent as well. Previously, I have owned a 2001 M3 and a 2000 Honda S2000. This is the best performing car by far. The classic Porsche body lines look modern and sleek. People are always guessing this car is a 2009 or 2010 model.

I am selling this car because I don't get to use it enough. This is a second car, and I have only put 5000 miles on this car in 1.5 years. I am looking to get a 4-door sports car so I have more room for passengers and gear

Overnight action from the 24 Hours of Le Mans

Sun, 23 Jun 2013

We won't go into a recap here, but there are still leading positions being fought for in all classes - it's so close that leads are changing when a car goes into the pits. We'll let the recap wait until the end of the race, so for now enjoy some shots from last night's action at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Listen to the Porsche Macan's exhaust note ahead of its LA debut

Fri, 08 Nov 2013

As if we need further proof that the Porsche Macan won't just be another small CUV, it'll be a small Porsche CUV, the German automaker has released a video of the vehicle's raucous exhaust note. In short, the Macan will sport a far racier soundtrack than most of its competitors.
The raspy sound coming from one of the Macan's two turbocharged V6 engines sounds great (the video isn't clear as to whether we're listening to the base 3.0-liter or the Turbo model's 3.6-liter engine), and it's accompanied by a nice crackle on overrun. It isn't like a 911 or other flat-six model, but it is more or less what we expect a Porsche to sound like. We'll have all the details on the newest member of the Porsche lineup when it debuts later this month at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show. Scroll down for an official press release from Porsche, as well as the video of the Macan, and be sure to turn your speakers up.

Porsche 911 Cabriolet refresh may hide new engine

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

If we learned nothing else from our recent frolic through Porsche's secret museum, it's that the automaker goes to incredible lengths to disguise future products during initial testing. Just as a number of cars in that Stuttgart bunker hid the true identity of developmental mules (like the Audi-V8-powered 911), such could very well be the case with these spy shots showing what, on the surface, appears to be simply a facelifted 991 911 Cabriolet.
Similar to what we saw last month on a 911 coupe, this Cabriolet has obvious styling modifications made to the front and rear fascias suggesting that the 911's still-fresh appearance is already set to get a few tweaks. The big news here is at the rear of the car. The additional vents on the lower edge of the fascia and the mocked-up vent above the engine leads our spy photographer to believe that a new engine could be tucked under the body work - likely a smaller-displacement, turbocharged flat-six focusing more on improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions rather than performance.
We last heard rumblings of such a detuned 911 back in August, but could this be our first look at said new model? Have a look for yourself, and let us know what you think - either about this mule specifically or the idea of a "green" 911, in Comments below.
