I purchased this Porsche to restore it, then I changed my mind to build another car. Its not a perfect car, but it runs "REALLY STRONG" and is a blast to drive! The previous owner threw alot of money into the car.
As always the most important aspect of any Porsche in my opinion is to begin with a good engine and transmission.(This has it!) If you don't have a good engine and transmission. I hope you have a deep pocket! Anytime I get a car. I begin there.

Heres are the items  I would fix.
She needs a rear rubber trim piece and bumper guard. The front valance and dashboard have cracks.

Lets take a look at what is good,

ENGINE:
Complete rebuild. Here are a few items,
New Carrera tensioner upgrade
New Oil return tubes
New seals
Bearings
Valves
machined heads
rings
fresh engine oil
Much more to list....
About 25k on the rebuild

EXHAUST:
B&B
Stainless Steel Headers with heat exchangers (poilshed)
Dual outlet Polished Stainless Steel muffler.
Adds 25-30 Horsepower
(((((Sounds Amazing))))))

TRANSMISSION:

BODY:
Steel flares, front & back
Box rockers
Turbo front valance with Carrera fog lights
Turbo tail
Third brake light
Custom clear lenses front, back and center lense
Side markers
H5 heahlights
Halogen light bulbs all around. (very bright!)

Rebuilt Targa Top

INTERIOR:
The dash has 2 very noticeable cracks.

Full black leather interior
Custom front seats, pretty darn comfortable actually.
Factory leather door panels, rear trey and seats
Factory carpet
(The interior is in really good condition.)
Aluminum pedals, door locks and matching door pulls.
Auto door locks
Silver faces on gauges with chrome bezels
Alumin shifter with short shift.
Fitapaldi Steering wheel.

STEREO:
New stereo, Ipod capability
Amplifer
Infiniti speakers seperates
Custom rear enclosures
Sounds GOOD!

WHEELS:
Custom 19" wheels. Nice lip on the back
Front 245/35/19  (nine inch)
Back 275/30/19  (Ten inch)
Tires are in excellent condition, plenty of tread left.

BRAKES:
Upgraded to cross drilled rotors. Stops on a dime!

The car was repainted e few years back,( not to my standard). The car was not disassembled properly or prepared for painting correctly. There are areas lifting and she could use fresh paint. The car does shine and look decent. Im just a perfectionist!
I would say give her a nice paint job and you have yourself a beautiful custom Porsche. She handles well and runs EXTREMELY STRONG!!!
For the price you cant go wrong.

Here is a chance to have a dependable car with all the upgrades. The best part is someone else spent the money.
I added up some of the upgrades ...$4,800 wheels /tires.- $4,900 B&B Exhaust System.- $2,800 Stereo System- $6800 Engine Rebuild.

2015 Porsche 911 GTS starts at $114,200*

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Purists often criticize Porsche for creating products like the Cayenne, Panamera and recently launched Macan, saying they dilute the true sports car spirit of the brand. It's an argument we've heard before, and one we counter with two points. First: No they don't. And second: These are Porsche's volume superstars, and the money they rake in allows the company to create dozens of versions of its well-liked sports cars. Want proof? Have a look at the gallery above, where you'll see four new versions of the 911, all with GTS badges on their rumps. This means Porsche now offers 19 versions of the 911. Nineteen.
Porsche offered a GTS version of the 911 in its previous generation, and this new one seeks to slot somewhere between the standard car and the hardcore GT3. It's available in coupe and cabriolet forms, with either rear- or all-wheel drive, starting at $114,200, *not including $995 for destination. The GTS Cabriolet comes in at $126,100, while models equipped with AWD will set you back $120,900 or $132,800 for the coupe or convertible, respectively.
All GTS models get the 430-horsepower version of the Carrera S' 3.8-liter flat-six with the Powerkit, which also includes the Sport Chrono package and the sport exhaust. If equipped with the PDK dual-clutch transmission, the 911 GTS will hit 60 miles per hour in just 3.8 seconds (or four seconds flat, if you've got the Cabriolet) - one tenth of a second quicker than the normal Carrera S. The car's top speed varies, depending on trim or transmission, but Porsche says the car will hit anywhere from 187 to 190 mph, flat out.

Watch 1,208 Porsche 911s collect at Silverstone for world record

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Porsche has been spending the majority of 2013 celebrating the 50th birthday of the 911, with its latest stunt taking the German brand to the home of British motorsports, Silverstone. To celebrate, Porsche invited enthusiasts to take their personal 911s on a lap of the former airfield, and boy, did the Porschephiles show up. 1,208 911s took part in the lap around the Grand Prix circuit, making it the largest-ever gathering of the iconic, rear-engined cars.
This wasn't just a celebration of 50 years for the 911, though. Funds raised were channeled towards Hope For Tomorrow, a cancer charity that works with the United Kingdom's National Health Service in operating mobile chemothereapy units that make life just a little bit easier on cancer patients.
Take a look at the long video below, and enjoy the passing of what are likely examples of every 911 model ever built.

eBay Find of the Day: 1981 Porsche 928 convertible by Carelli

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

The Porsche 928 was perhaps the consummate European GT of its day. With a powerful front-mounted V8 engine that grew in displacement as the model years went on, it was capable of eating up the miles at triple-digit speeds in great comfort for occupants. It was also an unusual beauty, with its sharp front and curved rear featuring innovative integrated bumpers.
Currently for auction on eBay Motors is one of the rarest 928s you're likely to find, in a handsome combination of Guards Red paint and tan leather interior, though we wouldn't mind a less-showy finish to the factory wheels. According to the seller, this car is one of eight 928 convertibles by Carelli Design, a firm that's still in business.
The auction claims that these cars were made in 1981 as a feasibility study between Carelli and Porsche for a possible production 928 convertible. The seller says he worked at the dealership where the car is said to have been originally sold $103,000. To remove the roof and hide the convertible top, there were significant changes made to the body and interior, including redesigned doors and a completely new trunk. As you can see in the gallery, when down, the top is completely hidden in a very factory-like fashion. When up, it looks slightly awkward, though (and we'd really like to see a rear three-quarter view to check out the blind spots).
