US $16,911.00
Year:1971 Mileage:0
Location:

Billings, Montana, United States

Up for sale is my 1971 911 T Coupe - Numbers matching project. No Rust! Very solid! This car does have a COA which I just obtained a few months back from Porsche. Original options include sport seats. ROW - Rest of World car, not US Spec. Engine and transaxle are complete minus what's listed below. I did talk with one of the previous owners who was kind enough to send me some pictures did confirm the car was originally a coupe as well as Albert blue. So paint how you wish as COA says light ivory. He also confirmed he know the original owner who imported this car from Europe when the car was new. True Euro Import.

Vin: 9111127424
Engine: 6111987

Interior includes carpet, gauges and seat rails. I sold the newer model sport seats pictured as they were obviously not correct for the car. Doors were updated to newer, so the door panels are from a newer generation as well.  Porsche COA lists this car as originally light ivory Karmann Coupe, but after starting the restoration process I think one could legitimately prove the car was originally Albert Blue.  ( one of the original owners also confirms this).

Car is complete except the following: engine carbs, seats, longhood, bumpers, coupe top and fenders. This car was converted to a SC look alike, so my goal was to put back on the original longhood items and restore to original.

I restore 911's but need to sell this one as I am moving and would prefer not to mess with it during the move. Solid car no rust. Free clear open title in hand from previous seller.

Excellent Project Car- Is complete with the exception of what's listed from when they updated the car. I do have '74-86 front fenders, the glass flairs off the rear, the short hood, turbo tail and bumpers pictured if the seller wants those to spice up  the deal as I have no use for them.

Deposit of $2000 due at the end of auction, remaining balance due within 3 days of auction end by wire, or certified check. As I am moving, please arrange for shipping in a reasonable time frame (4. Weeks).

PCA member, please let me know if you have any questions, great find.

Porsche 911 Cabriolet refresh may hide new engine

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

If we learned nothing else from our recent frolic through Porsche's secret museum, it's that the automaker goes to incredible lengths to disguise future products during initial testing. Just as a number of cars in that Stuttgart bunker hid the true identity of developmental mules (like the Audi-V8-powered 911), such could very well be the case with these spy shots showing what, on the surface, appears to be simply a facelifted 991 911 Cabriolet.
Similar to what we saw last month on a 911 coupe, this Cabriolet has obvious styling modifications made to the front and rear fascias suggesting that the 911's still-fresh appearance is already set to get a few tweaks. The big news here is at the rear of the car. The additional vents on the lower edge of the fascia and the mocked-up vent above the engine leads our spy photographer to believe that a new engine could be tucked under the body work - likely a smaller-displacement, turbocharged flat-six focusing more on improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions rather than performance.
We last heard rumblings of such a detuned 911 back in August, but could this be our first look at said new model? Have a look for yourself, and let us know what you think - either about this mule specifically or the idea of a "green" 911, in Comments below.

'Born of a Blue Sky' brings the Amelia Island Concours to you

Fri, 03 May 2013

The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.

Watch Larry Kosilla resurrect the finish of this barn-find 1966 Porsche 912

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Larry Kosilla, the founder of the Ammo NYC line of car cleaning products, has his own show YouTube's Drive network - we saw his work before when he gave a Ferrari 288 GTO a two-day detailing job. On this episode, Kosilla gets called in to do his best with a 1966 Porsche 912, a car that was last registered in 1990 and recently found in a barn in Connecticut.
Among the expected dirt and cobwebs, the Irish Green Porsche is also covered what is assumed to be cat fur and "waste." The car is in such delicate condition, however, that Kosilla can't wash it for fear of getting more water in it than on it, so he has to steam and wipe the entire thing down before he begins the paint correction process. In addition to the thorough knowledge of his work and his ability to explain it simply, the episode is captioned with further information one of Porsche's popular but less regarded models, and how Kosilla does what he does.
You'll find a compelling 29 minute masterclass in the video below.
