2010 Porsche GT3
Black / Black Interior

16,223 Milage
Deciding to sell my GT3 to make some room in my garage. Have enjoyed this GT3 as a dedicated HPDE car for a little
over two years. Avid Porsche fan and PCA instructor, I am the third owner and purchased this car from a RLister
back in 2013. A truly stellar and special car on all fronts! The inside, outside, and mechanicals of this car are
in excellent condition and reflect a dedicated owner with a genuine love of these GT cars. The first owner drove
the car for less the 2k miles as a Cars/Coffee vehicle. The 2nd owner bought the car as a Certified Pre-Owned and
that warranty subsequently transferred to me upon purchase.
Car has been meticulously maintained and was just serviced. Brake flush, oil change, gearbox oil, and pad flip was
all completed. All service records are documented as well. “Technical Dimensions” in Jacksonville, FL serviced
car for track use. The owner/lead tech personally maintained and set this car up for my HPDE use. He is available
to discuss any and all aspects of car. Car has been a trouble free car and never let me down for a track weekend.
All original paint looks beautiful. It has a couple marks here and there, but not noticeable unless pointed out. I
have documented these in pictures. I had the full front of the car done with XPEL when I purchased it. XPEL
Ultimate on full front bumper, full hood, mirrors, full front fenders, A-pillars, and 10” strip on roof. 8 years
remaining on XPEL warranty. XPEL has lots of little marks as it is doing what it should be doing…. protecting the
paint underneath. Have pictures of paint on front end prior to XPEL being installed.
Car was converted to 5-Lug to avoid any center lock issues. Car has satin black, near perfect condition, 19” OZ
Ultraleggerar wheels with custom “GT3” in red on the center caps in near perfect condition. These are the
“street wheels” and never used for track. I had a brand new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires mounted to
these and they currently have less than 300 miles on them.

Porsche responds to PETA after tiger cub displays at Macan dealership events

Tue, 13 May 2014

Porsche has found itself in the good graces of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, which is pretty odd considering it's the only brand we know of that offers leather-lined vents. The activist group is praising the sports car manufacturer's handling of reports that some of its dealerships were set to feature tigers or tiger cubs at the local launch events for the Macan. Apparently, "macan" is the Malay word for tiger, which explains the connection between a highly touted crossover and a jungle cat.
A Tampa, FL dealership already displayed some three-week-old cubs, with PETA saying tigers for display should be at least eight to 12 weeks old. Even then, the group argues that the animals can suffer due to stress, malnourishment, neglect and a lack of veterinary care. The group brings up legal concerns, as well, arguing that if one of the cubs bit a customer, the dealership could be held liable (we're no big cat experts, but it seems unlikely a three-week-old cub could do that much damage).
Porsche's PR department quickly reacted to PETA's claims, with Vice President of Marketing Andre Oosthuizen, telling the group that Porsche is concerned about the "welfare of any animal, large or small, wild or domesticated." Oosthuizen's statements were reported in an official PETA blog.

2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

I don't care who you are; when a new Porsche 911 rolls up in your driveway, that's a pretty good day. This was my very first experience with Porsche's 991 911, and after having spent time with just about every tune and trim of the last car, I was hotly anticipating comparing and contrasting.
Somehow (I don't remember sending out any cash-filled, unmarked envelopes) I'd scored a week in the 911 Carrera 4S over a long holiday weekend, too. That meant that I'd get to A) log a ton of miles in one of the best cars in the world, B) get to show-off the Porsche to family and friends and C) tempt cops in three states to pull me over. Good thing I've got the Autoblog traffic lawyer on speed dial...

Jay Leno welcomes finely rebuilt Porsche 356 into his garage

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

Not a month after the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer visited Jay Leno's garage, another artfully restored Porsche has rolled in. This time it's a 1957 Porsche 356A Outlaw, the "outlaw" moniker referring to Porsches that have been restored outside the bounds of period-correct orthodoxy.
This 356A was literally done from the ground up by Michigander Chuck Olenyk, the floor of the car having fallen apart so badly that he couldn't remove the roof at first since it was holding the vehicle together. Olenyk said that of the 2000 hours over seven years that he spent restoring the car, 500 were spent just on repairing the rust. That's undoubtedly some of the reason why when he tried to sell the unrestored car as a roller in the nineties for $1,000, no one would take it off his hands.
Olenyk fitted a mildly tuned engine from a Porsche 912, the transmission from a 356B, the brakes from a 356C, Fuchs mags and a modified replicar Speedster roof from Intermecchnica. It lacks nothing even with just 115 horsepower, and it adds to that with charm and aural appeal. You can see and hear the full story in the video below.
